BATANGHARINEWS.COM - Kabupaten Batanghari masih ditetapkan sebagai daerah siaga kebakaran hutan dan lahan (Karhutla).
Hal ini dikatakan Kepala Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) kabupaten Batanghari, Nazhar, saat ditemui media ini di gedung DPRD Batanghari kemarin.
“ Saat ini Batanghari masih status siaga Karhutlah,” kata Nazhar.
Dikatakan Nazhar, berdasarkan data yang dihimpun pihaknya hingga awal Agustus 2019, terdapat 36 titik karhutlah terjadi di Batanghari. Hal ini disebabkan oleh faktor ulah manusia. Namun, secara keseluruhan 36 titik api tersebut sudah dipadamkan oleh petugas yang ada.
Pihak BPBD Batanghari telah berupaya melakukan sosialisasi kepada semua kecamatan dengan melibatkan aparatur pemerintahan desa, agar dapat mencegah tidak adanya tindakan pembakaran lahan.
Sosialisasi sendiri sudah dilaksanakan ke delapan kecamatan dalam kabupaten Batanghari, agar masyarakat tidak membakar lahan sembarangan. Karena kita ketahui kebakaran ini disebabkan ulah manusia dengan faktor kesengajaan,” katanya.
Untuk melaksanakan tugas pokok dan fungsi BPBD, kata dia, pihaknya memiliki peralatan mesin cukup. Akan tetapi, saat ini diakuinya masih kesulitan air dan mobilisasi air untuk menuju area kebakaran. Dari data Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG) kemarau panjang diperkirakan akan melanda sampai bulan Oktober 2019.
“ Yang jelas kita Batanghari belum darurat karhutlah, tapi masih statsu siaga,” tutup Nazhar.(mon )
