MUARABULIAN – Bupati Batanghari, Ir Syahirsah Sy berharap kejuaraan Tarung derajat (Kodrat) provinsi Jambi ke-VI tahun 2019 akan muncul bibit baru atlit Kodrat provinsi Jambi.
“ Melalui kegiatan ini, saya berharap akan muncul bibit-bibit baru atlit Kodrat provinsi Jambi, yang akan mengharumkan nama Kodrat provinsi Jambi di tingkat regional dan nasional,” ujar Bupati Batanghari pada pembukaan kejuaraan Kodrat provinsi Jambi ke-VI tahun 2019 dan Pra Kualifikasi Pekan Olahraga Provinsi Jambi (Porprov) ke-XXII tahun 2020 di Gor BSC Muarabulian.
Bupati mengatakan, dari berbagai event kejuaraan yang diikuti oleh atlit Kodrat provinsi Jambi, baik itu bersifat kejurnas maupun pekan olahraga nasional, Alhamdulillah prestasi yang diraih selalu mendapat medali , baik Emas, Perak dan Perunggu.
Sepanjang sejarah, lanjutnya, atlit Kodrat provinsi Jambi yang berkiprah di event nasional tentu saja kita tidak boleh lupa prestasi yang membanggakan yang dipersembahkan oleh saudara Septian Septa, dengan meraih medali Emas pada Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) tahun 2012 di Pekan Baru, provinsi Riau.
Untuk itu pada kesempatan tersebut, bupati mengajak kita semua untuk meningkatkan perasaan memiliki dan tanggungjawab sebagai keluarga besar olahraga Kodrat, agar event ini tidak boleh berhenti disini. Karena menurut bupati, tidak akan lahir seorang atlit yang berprestasi jika tidak melalui suatu kejuaraan pertandingan.
“ Kita akan selalu berusaha menyelenggarakan kejuaraan sesuai jadwal yang ditetapkan, baik bersifat single event (Kejurprov) maupun sifatnya multi event (Porprov). Kepada atlit harus terus berlatih dengan tekun dan seksama untuk mempersiapkan diri mengikuti event regional maupun nasional,” sebutnya.
