Finalnya pembangunan bendungan yang mampu mengaliri 12 ribu areal sawah warga tersebut, tersirat pada rapat koodinasi pelaksanaan konsultasi publik dan real demand survey KPBU Bendungan Merangin di Hotel Family Inn, pada Rabu (27/11).

Menurut Bupati Merangin, Al Haris, rapat koordinasi tersebut digelar guna menampung berbagai saran dan masukan dari publik, terhadap rencana pembangunan Bendungan Merangin.

“ Jadi pada rakor ini ‘digodok’ betul, rencana pembangunan Bendungan Merangin sampai ‘matang’, sehingga pembangunan yang akan dilakukan pada 2021 nanti, bisa berlangsung lancar tanpa terjadi kendala,” ujar Bupati.

Jelang pembangunannya lanjut bupati, masih ada waktu untuk memperbaiki berbagai kekurangan yang terjadi pada perencanaannya. Diharapkan bupati, pada 2020 nanti semua sudah tuntas, soal bahan dan lahannya.

Semua elemen masyarakat pinta bupati, wajib mendorong lancarnya pembangunan bendungan raksasa setinggi 94 meter ini. Akan banyak manfaat  dengan dibangunnya bendungan tersebut.

Selain untuk mengaliri sawah dan pembangkit tenaga listrik, keberadaan Bendungan Merangin itu juga sebagai objek wisata. Jadi nanti sambung bupati, Objek wisata Geopark Merangin itu ada temannya, yaitu Bendungan Merangin.

“ Tujuan kita bagaimana masyarakat bisa sejahtera, perekonomiannya maju. Apalagi pembangunan bendungan ini sesuai dengan visi dan misi kita unggul di bidang Pariwisata dan Pertanian. Jadi jelas manfaatnya,” terang Bupati.

Sementara itu menurut Direktur Pelaksana Pembiayaan Infrastruktur Sumber Daya Air Kementerian PUPR RI Irvi Areyantoro, Bendungan Merangin tersebut dibangun Kementerian PUPR RI atas kerjasama dengan Badan Usaha.

“ Bendungan Merangin ini akan menghabiskan dana Rp 3 Triliun. Nanti Badan Usaha yang membiayanya dulu, baru nanti kita bayar. Pembangunanya selama tiga tahun dan masa konsensi selama 30 sampai 40 tahun,” terang Irvi Areyantoro.

Kepala Balai Wilayah Sungai Sumatera VI Nurfajri menambahkan, terwujudnya Bendungan Merangin merupakan cita-cita besar Provinsi Jambi dan Kabupaten Merangin.

“ Setelah bendungan ini dibangun, akan ada pembangunan lanjutannya, seperti pembangkit listrik, irigasi dan berbagai bangunan penunjang lainnya. Bendungan Merangin ini akan menjadi ikon Provinsi Jambi dan Merangin,” tandas Nurfajri. (don)
