MUARABULIAN – Pemerintah kabupaten Batanghari melalui Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan (DPK) Batanghari, mendapat bantuan Dana Alokasi Khusus (DAK) Rp10 milyar di tahun 2020 mendatang.
Anggaran yang bersumber dari DAK Perpustakaan Nasional (Perpusnas) Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan itu, akan digunakan untuk membangun gedung baru Perpustakaan Batanghari di tanah Acong dekat SMKN 2.
“Tahun 2020 nanti, kita dapat bantuan bangunan Perpustakaan baru senilai Rp10 milyar melalui DAK Pusat. Ini nantinya akan menjadi icon di Batanghari. Untuk lokasi nya di Tanah Acong,” kata Kepala Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan kabupaten Batanghari, Mukhlis di gedung pemuda Muarabulian beberapa hari lalu.
Mukhlis mengaku bangga kabupaten Batanghari mendapat bantuan DAK untuk pembangunan gedung baru Perpustakaan itu.
“Kita merasa bangga, karena daerah yang kecil ini bisa mendapatkan bantuan bangunan gedung Perpustakaan langsung dari Pustaka Nasional,” ujar Mukhlis.
Menurut informasi yang diterima media ini menyebutkan, direncanakan pembangunan gedung baru Perpustakaan Batanghari akan dimulai awal tahun 2020 mendatang. Gedung dua lantai tersebut akan dilengkapi ruang baca kedap suara, ruang pertemuan, serta perangkat IT mutakhir. Saat ini Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Batanghari tengah bertransformasi menjadi perpustakaan berbasis inklusi sosial. Konsep ini menjadikan perpustakaan sebagai pusat kegiatan masyarakat, bukan hanya tempat membaca.
