MUARABULIAN - Dinas Kesehatan (Dinkes) kabupaten Batanghari mengklaim kasus Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) pada tahun 2019 menurun.
Dinkes mencatat jumlah kasus DBD di wilayah setempat terhitung hingga 27 Desember 2019 mencapai 125 kasus. Jumlah kasus DBD di Batanghari ini menurun 34 kasus jika di bandingkan dengan tahun 2018.
Kepala Dinas Kesehatan kabupaten Batanghari, dr. Elfie Yennie bilang, untuk kasus DBD di Batanghari di tahun 2019 terhitung hingga 27 Desember hanya ada 125 kasus. Kasus DBD ini menurun jika di bandingkan tahun 2018 yang lalu, yang berjumlah 159 kasus. Dari sejumlah kasus tersebut, Kecamatan dengan kasus DBD terbanyak adalah Kecamatan Muarabulian dengan 37 kasus.
Elfie juga mengaku, untuk langkah dalam mengantisipasi kasus tersebut, pihak Dinkes telah membuka Kelompok Kerja Operasional (Pokjanal) yang dibentuk di setiap Kecamatan. Program Pokjanal ini dalam pembentukannya dihadiri langsung oleh Camat dan Lurah/Kepala Desa setempat.
Dalam mencegah agar tidak terjadinya DBD, Dinkes juga membuat program Gerakan Satu Rumah Satu Jumantik (Juru Pemantau Jentik). Yang mana di setiap rumah akan di tunjuk satu perwakilan untuk menjadi Jumantik. Dan untuk DBD ini sendiri ada 3 tingkatan, diantaranya, demam dengue, demam berdarah dengue dan yang paling berbahaya yang menyebabkan kematian adalah Demam Dengue Shock Syndrome," bebernya.
Elfie juga menjelaskan, dalam mengatasi DBD ini, untuk melakukan fogging bukanlah cara efektif untuk mengatasi DBD secara habis, karena fogging hanya dapat membunuh nyamuk dewasa, jadi masyarakat di himbau untuk melakukan pembersihan lingkungan dengan cara 3 M plus yaitu menutup tempat penampung air, menguras bak mandi atau tempat penampungan air lainnya dan mengubur atau mendaur ulang barang bekas.
