Sejumlah wartawan liputan Merangin yang mengetahui penderitaan ibu ini menaruh simpati, dengan cara melakukan penggalanghan dana di jalan lintas Sumatera, tepatnya di depan Mapolres Merangin, Senin (2/3/20).

Kegiatan pengumpulan dana yang semula digagas oleh Nurdin Rolex dan kemudian dikuti puluhan wartawan, hanya berlangsung dari jam 10.30 WIB hingga tepat jam 12.00 WIB. Tidak perlu menunggu terlalu lama dana yang sudah terkumpul langsung diserahkan kepada penderita tumor ganas di kediamannya di parak Kelapo. Sementara penderita tumor ganas saat ini sudah terbaring lemas tak berdaya.

Menurut Penggagas Nurdin Rolex, keberhasilan dalam pengumpulan dana dalam waktu yang singkat berkat adanya kerjasama sesama wartawan yang saling bahu membahu untuk mengumpulkan dana dari pengemudi maupun pengendara roda dua yang kebetulan melintas. Tidak hanya itu, menurut Nurdin Rolex kesuksesan pengumpulan dana juga berkat bantuan dari aparat Polres Merangin yang ikut serta dalam mengamankan jalan raya.

“Kami bersama teman-teman jurnalis liputan Merangin, hari ini lakukan penggalangan dana untuk membantu meringankan beban yang diderita oleh  ibu Enek yang menderita penyakit Tumor ganas dibagian mulut. Kami turut prihatin atas cobaan yang menimpa ibu Enek, semoga cepat sembuh dan tetap semangat dalam berikhtiar untuk kesembuhnnya,” tandasnya.
