Kepala Dinas PUPR Provinsi Jambi, Ir. Muhammad Fauzi MT mengatakan, jalan yang lebih dikenal dengan jalan "Ness" itu merupakan ruas jalan vital yang sangat diperlukan oleh masyarakat khususnya dari wilayah Jambi bagian barat untuk menuju ibu kota Provinsi Jambi.
"Inikan jalan alternatif yang sangat ramai dilalui oleh masyarakat, dalam membangungun kita tetap mengedepankan azaz manfaat," kata Fauzi melalui sambungan teleponnya, Sabtu 28 Maret 2020.
Untuk anggaran, kata Fauzi, pihaknya menyiapakan pagu anggaran sebesar Rp 18 Milyar dengan nilai HPS paket lebih dari Rp 15 Milyar.
"Saat ini sudah kita lakukan tender, mudah - mudahan dalam waktu dekat pengerjaan akan segera dimulai," tuturnya.
