“Dalam new normal, kita diminta untuk bisa hidup berdampingan dengan Covid-19. Tentu banyak hal yang harus kita persiapkan, agar new normal tidak menjadi boomerang bagi kita dengan semakin tingginya angka terjangkit wabah virus Corona,” ungkap Fachrori.
Kedatangan Gubernur dan rombongan disambut oleh Kepala Sekolah SMK N 2 Kota Jambi, Sri Darmayanty, para guru, dan Kabid SMK/SMA Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jambi Bukri. Pada kesempatan ini, gubernur dan rombongan langsung menuju tempat cuci tangan pelajar, dilanjutkan meninjau ruang kelas, ruang Teaching Factory Kompetensi Keahlian Bisnis Daring, dan Pemasaran SMEANDA MART, Ruang Perpustakaan, dan Ruang PMI/PMR/UKS, dilanjutkan berbincang-bincang bersama majelis guru. Gubernur memberikan arahan kepada para guru tersebut, yang intinya untuk meningkatkan kesiapan sekolah dalam mennghadapi new normal.
Fachrori mengatakan, sekolah merupakan tempat anak-anak menghabiskan waktu, jika tidak didukung dengan fasilitas-fasilitas yang kurang menunjang kenyamanan, maka akan menimbulkan berkembangnya klaster-klaster baru di Provinsi Jambi.
“Sekolah-sekolah harus menyiapkan berbagai langkah untuk menghadai Era Normal Baru, diantaranya melengkapi sarana dan prasarana, alat pengukur suhu tubuh, tempat cuci tangan dengan sabun, setiap hari harus menyemprotkan disinfektan di setiap ruang kelas, mengatur jarak sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan, siswa dan guru wajib pakai masker. Selain itu, saya berharap guru untuk dapat memantau siswanya saat diberlakukan New Normal di Sekolah,” sambung Fachrori.
