BATANGHARINEWS.COM - Serikat Media Siber Indonesia (SMSI) dan Asosiasi Media Siber Indonesia (AMSI) ditetapkan sebagai Organisasi Perusahaan PERS, khusus Pers online.
Dua organisasi ini, ditetapkan sebagai konstituen Dewan Pers secara bersamaan, pada rapat pleno Dewan Pers yang digelar pada Sabtu (23/5/2020).
Dimana ada Enam Organisasi Asosiasi Perusahaan Pers di Indonesia. Enam Organisasi Perusahaan Pers, sebagai Konstituen Dewan Pers.
Enam organisasi asosiasi perusahaan pers yang menjadi konstituen Dewan Pers adalah SMSI, AMSI, PRSSNI, ATVLI, ATVSI, SPS.
Dari keenam organisasi tersebut, dua diantaranya baru saja ditetapkan sebagai organisasi perusahaan pers, khusus pers online, yaitu SMSI) dan AMSI.
Lahirnya SMSI dan AMSI ini tentunya memiliki peran penting dalam sejarah pers di Indonesia. Kedua organisasi ini, walaupun tidak tersurat, secara genetik terhubung dengan kesejarahan masyarakat pers yang sangat kuat dan mengakar di Indonesia.
Sebagaimana diketahui, khusus SMSI dibidangi para tokoh dan kader PWI, yaitu Atal S Depari, Riza Mirhadi dan Firdaus. Masing - masing menjabat ketua Umum, Sekretaris Jenderal dan ketua bidang organisasi PWI Pusat.
Firdaus terpilih menjadi ketua Umum SMSI untuk yang pertama hasil kongres yang diadakan di gedung Dewan Pers lt.4 di ruang rapat PWI Pusat, dengan mengalahkan *Teguh Santosa*. Kemudian setelah SMSI resmi menjadi konstituen Dewan Pers, Firdaus Mengundurkan diri dari ketua Bidang organisasi PWI Pusat.
Harapan dan tanggung jawab besar tentunya terpikul dipundak kedua organsiasi ini, kenapa?
Karena transformasi media tradisional ke media digital sudah nenjadi keharusan dan jumlahnya bertambah, sehingga organisasi siber selain menjadi primadona, juga keduanya mempunyai tanggung jawab yang besar untuk menjadi kepanjangan tangan Dewan Pers, dalam mewujudkan kemerdekaan dan kemandirian perusahaan pers di Indonesia.
Nah, selain SMSI dan AMSI, ikut juga muncul beberapa organisasi media siber, yang didirikan dengan berbagai *motif,* tentunya ini akan terus meramaikan pers Indonesia.
Menurut Firdaus, SMSI sebagai organisasi Payung perusahaan media online, terus akan dikembangkan hingga tingkat Kabupaten dan Kota.
"Dengan demikian, jaringan informasi akan semakin luas, menjangkau pelosok tanah air," kata Firdaus.
