MERANGIN - Setelah 14 tahun dinanti warga setempat, janji politik Gubernur Jambi, H. Fachrori Umar (ketika masih menjabat sebagai Wagub Jambi), untuk membangun Jembatan Rantau Limau Manis Kecamatan Tabir Ilir, akhirnya pada 2020 ini baru terwujud.
Pembangunan jembatan sepanjang 90 meter, lebar empat meter yang sangat dinanti warga Desa Limau Manis dan sekitarnya itu, ditandai dengan peletakan batu pertama oleh Gubernur Jambi, H. Fachrori Umar didamping Bupati Merangin, H. Al Haris, Kamis (23/7).
‘’Jembatan ini nantinya akan memperlancar aktivitas perekonomian masyarakat dan akan menjadi jalan tembus dari Kabupaten Merangin ke Tebo dan Batanghari. Bila Pak Bupati Merangin mau ke Tebo tidak perlu harus lewat Bungo lagi,’’ujar Gubernur Jambi.
Bupati Merangin, H. Al Haris sangat berterimakasih kepada Gubernur Jambi, atas dibangunnya jembatan tersebut. Ditegaskan bupati, sudah sangat banyak anggaran Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi dikucurkan untuk Kabupaten Merangin.
‘’Kalau  hanya mengandalkan APBD Merangin, jelas tidak akan mampu untuk membangun Kabupaten Merangin  wilayahnya terluas dibandingkan kabupaten/kota di Jambi dan jumlah penduduknya terbesar ketiga di Jambi,’’ ujar Bupati.
Dijelaskan bupati, pada tahun anggaran 2020 ini dana Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi yang masuk ke Kabupaten Merangin mencapai Rp 64 miliar. Dana itu untuk pembangunan Jembatan Rantau Limau Manis sebesar Rp 24,2 miliar.
Pembangunan Jalan Margoyoso-Sumber Agung-Air Hitam sebesar Rp 10,5 miliar, penanganan longsor jalan Jangkat sebesar Rp 1,5 miliar, pembangunan jalan Simpau Pulau Rengas-Muara Siau sebesar Rp 2 miliar.
Selain itu, pembangunan Jalan Siau-Dusun Tuo sebesar Rp 4,7 miliar, pemeliharaan saluran irigasi Koto Teguh sebesar Rp 250 juta dan pembangunan Kantor Samsat Merangin sebesar Rp 1,8 miliar.
Sementara itu Kepala Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Provinsi Jambi, Ir. M Fauzi MT menjelaskan, Jembatan Rantau Limau Manis memiliki bentangan Panjang 90 meter dengan dua bentang segmen, segmen satu dari rangka baja sepanjang 60 meter, segmen dua dari baja pracetak sepanjang 30 meter.
‘’Untuk jenis pondasi yang digunakan yaitu, Borfile dengan dua abudmen dan satu pilar. Jembatan ini akan dikerjakan selama 180 hari kalender. Jadi permintaan Pak Gubernur setahun langsung jadi,’’ tandas M Fauzi.
