MERANGIN - Wakil Bupati Merangin, H. Mashuri membuka pelatihan Kader Dasar Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia (PMII) se-Provinsi Jambi, di Masjid Pondok Pesantren Depati Agung Desa Pulau Raman Kecamatan Muara Siau, Kamis (27/8).
Dikatakan wabup, pelatihan kader dasar PMII tersebut diikuti utusan Pimpinan Cabang PMII kabupaten/kota se-Provinsi Jambi, kecuali Kabupaten Tanjungjabung Barat dan Tanjungjabung Timur.
‘’Basisnya PMII itu memang pesantren. Saya sudah dua kali membuka pelatihan serupa yang berlangsung di pesantren. Pertama di Pesantren belakang SMA Negeri 6 Merangin dan kedua di pesantren ini,’’ ujar Wabup.
Pelatihan kader dasar PMII lanjut wabup, sangat penting sekali dilakukan. Tujuannya untuk membentuk akhlak, moral dan sikap para kader PMII kedepannya yang lebih hebat dan tangguh.
Diharapkan wabup, melalui pelatihan tersebut, akan tercipta para kader PMII yang berwawasan kebangsaan, yang mencintai betul Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI).
Untuk itu wabup minta seluruh pesarta, agar dapat mengikuti jalannya pelatihan kader dasar PMII yang akan berlangsung selama tiga hari tersebut, dengan serius, baik dan benar.
‘’Peran PMII ini sangat luar biasa di tengah-tengah masyarakat. Melalui kader yang tangguh, generasi muda yang tergabung didalamnya akan terhindar dari bahaya pengaruh Narkoba,’’ terang Wabup.
Pada kesempatan itu, wabup minta kepada PMII untuk selalu mematuhi protokol kesehatan, rajin cuci tangan di air yang mengalir menggunakan sabun, menjaga jarak dan terpenting selalu mengenakan masker.
