Pada rapat yang mematuhi protokol kesehatan pencegah Covid-19 tersebut, juga dihadiri Ketua KPU Merangin, Bawaslu dan diikuti seluruh Camat, Kapolsek, Danramil serta seluruh Panitia Pemilihan Kecamatan (PPK) se-Kabupaten Merangin.
Dikesempatan itu Plt Bupati menekankan beberapa persoalan yang harus diperhatikan dalam pelaksanaan Pilkada 2020, diantaranya penerapan protokol kesehatan, kondisi cuaca yang harus diantisipasi dan tingkat partisipasi Pilkada 2020.
H Mashuri minta, para camat mulai membuka Posko Pengaduan terkait pelaksanaan Pilkada. ‘’Kita sudah siapkan perahu karet untuk mendistribusikan logistik Pilkada ke desa-desa yang dilanda banjir,’’ujar Plt Bupati.
Pihak kecamatan diminta H Mashuri, berkoordinasi dengan PPK, guna membantu distribusi logistik Pilkada dan memastikan TPS yang didirikan tidak terdampak banjir.
Memasuki masa tenang nanti, H Mashuri minta kepada para Camat dan semua elemen masyarakat terlebih yang berkontribusi terhadap Pilkada, untuk selalu terlibat dalam pengawasan.
‘’Masa tenang sangat rawan akan money politic dan mobilisasi massa. Hendaknya masa tenang ini perlu menjadi perhatian kita bersama,’’harap Plt Bupati 
Kapolres Merangin AKBP Irean Andy Purnamawan menyampaikan bahwa faktor cuaca harus menjadi perhatian khusus saat ini, karena sekarang musim hujan. ‘’Kepolisian siap membantu pendistribusian logistik pemilu,’’ujar Kapolres.
Kasdim 0420/Sarko Msyor Edy Arman,  SH menambahkan, penerapan protokol kesehatan harus diutamakan. Pemilihan lokasi TPS harus tepat, sehingga tidak terjadi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan ketika cuaca buruk terjadi.
‘’Tim sukses paslon harus menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban tahapan Pilkada 2020 dan kita semua berkomitmen Merangin akan selalu aman dan kondusif pada tahapan Pilkada ini,’’terang Kasdim.
Sementara itu Kajari Merangin menyampaikan bahwa, Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) khususnya para Camat dan Kades harus menjaga netralitas dalam Pilkada 2020 demi terciptanya Pilkada yang santun.
Sedangkan Ketua KPU Merangin Iron Syahroni menegaskan, persiapan KPU Merangin sampai H-6 Pilkada sudah sampai tahap finishing, termasuk menyiapkan logistik pemilu. Total personel pelaksanaan Pilkada 2020 di Kabupaten Merangin berjumlah 9.852 orang.
‘’Penertiban APK akan kita lakukan mulai Minggu (06/12) dengan koordinasi dengan pihak terkait. Logistik pemilu akan didistribusikan juga pada Minggu (06/12), dimulai dari kecamatan terjauh,’’ tandas Iron Syahroni.
