‘’Pengawasan terhadap aktivitas orang asing ini terus dilakukan, meskipun dalam  pandemic Covid-19. Kita terus bersinergi dalam pengawasan orang asing pada masa tatanan kehidupan baru ini,’’ ujar H Abd Gani.

‘’Kita tidak ini gara-gara pandemic Covid-19 pengawasan terhadap orang asing jadi terlalaikan. Sekarang ini di Provinsi Jambi terdapat sebanyak 368 orang asing dengan berbagai aktivitas,’’ ujar Ny Morina Harahap.
Sedangkan jumlah tenaga asing yang berada di Provinsi Jambi sebanyak 202 orang. Kepala Devisi Keimigrasian Kanwil Kemenkumham Jambi tidak mencemaskan keberadaan orang asing itu, karena terus dipantau dan diawasi.
‘’Kita punya Kantor Imigrasi di Jambi, di Kualatungkal Tanjungjabung Barat dan di Kabupaten Kerinci. Seluruh instansi punya kewenangan menjaga Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI),’’ terang Ny Morina Harahap.
Menyinggung kecemasan terhadap keberadaan orang asing tersebut? Ny Morina Harahap menegaskan, untuk Provinsi Jambi  sangat aman dan tidak perlu dicemaskan, terhadap hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan.
Rakor tersebut dihadiri Forkopimda Merangin, para kepala Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) terkait dan diikuti para Camat, kepala Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA), Kapolsek dan Koramil se-Kabupaten Merangin.
