JAMBI – Ketua DPRD Provinsi Jambi Edi Purwanto meminta Panitia Pelaksana Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Kebangsaan dan Bersama tahun 2021 dari Universitas Jambi (UNJA) taat protokol kesehatan (prokes) untuk mencegah penyebaran Covid-19 saat pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut. Ini disampaikan Edi saat menerima kunjungan panitia pelaksana di ruang kerjanya, Selasa (22/6/2021).
Ketua DPD PDI Perjuangan provinsi Jambi ini mengharapkan agar KKN Kebangsaan menjadi sarana untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai 4 pilar kebangsaan (Pancasila, UUD 1945, NKRI dan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika) di pribadi-pribadi mahasiswa. Namun Ia mengingatkan panitia untuk terus berkoordinasi dengan pihak-pihak terkait sebelum kegiatan nasional yang melibatkan banyak peserta ini diselenggarakan.
“Prinsipnya saya mendukung penuh, karena ini tri dharma perguruan tinggi, juga bermanfaat untuk sosialisasi 4 pilar bangsa, tapi tolong terus koordinasi, khususnya dengan Menteri Pendidikan, karena belakangan ini Covid-19 meningkat di beberapa tempat, jadi kita harus siap kalau ada perubahan kebijakan,” jelasnya.
Menurut Edi kampus harus menjadi lokomotif dalam mengejawantahkan 4 pilar kebangsaan. Jangan sampai perguruan tinggi malah disusupi oleh ideologi yang bertentangan dengan Pancasila.
Ketua DPRD yang baru saja memperoleh penghargaan Green Leadership Nirwasita Tantra 2020 dari Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan ini berharap KKN Kebangsaan juga memiliki misi dalam menjaga dan melestarikan lingkungan.
“Kita sama-sama tahu bahwa praktek PETI, illegal mining, illegal drilling, dan praktek-praktek perusakan lingkungan masih marak di Jambi, kegiatan ini bisa jadi ajang bagi mahasiswa untuk mengedukasi masyarakat untuk menjaga lingkungan, termasuk memberikan contoh bentuk ekonomi kreatif, jadi untuk menopang ekonomi masyarakat tidak harus merusak alam,” bebernya.
KKN Kebangsaan dan Bersama tahun 2021 ini rencananya akan dibuka pada tanggal 24 Juli 2021 bertempat di kabupaten Muaro Jambi dan Tanjung Jabung Timur. Rencananya kegiatan ini diikuti oleh mahasiswa pilihan dari delapan puluhan perguruan tinggi negeri se-Indonesia.
“Alhamdulillah, kami sangat mengapresiasi kepercayaan dirjen dikti yang menunjuk UNJA sebagai tuan rumah, seharusnya dilaksanakan tahun 2020 lalu, tapi karena pandemi ditunda jadi tahun ini, kami terus melakukan persiapan dan berkoordinasi dengan pihak-pihak terkait, panitia desa juga sudah terbentuk,” ungkap Ade Octavia, Ketua Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM) UNJA yang juga merupakan penanggung jawab kegiatan.
