Pernyataan tersebut disampaikan Bupati Merangin H Mashuri, pada acara Safari Ramadhan 1443 H di Masjid Jami’atul Ikhlas, Desa Karang Anyar Kecamatan Pamenang Barat, Senin malam (11/04/22).
‘’Anak yang sudah dibekali dengan ilmu agama yang kuat, akan berpikir panjang bila melakukan sesuatu, sehingga mereka mempunyai filter. Untuk itu mari antar anak-anak kita untuk belajar ke Pondok Pesantren,’’ujar Bupati.
Anak-anak lanjut bupati, merupakan  asset yang akan menyongsong orang tua masuk ke surga. Sangat banyak pilihan pesantren di Merangin. Di sekitar Masjid Jami’atul Ikhlas saja tegas bupati, ada lebih dari empat Pondok.
‘’Pendidikan di pondok itu sangat lebih efektif dari pada kita harus terus mengawasi anak di rumah. Anak main handphone androit bukan mencari ilmu  bermanfaat, tapi hal-hal lain yang sering bertentangan dengan ajaran agama,’’terang Bupati.
Pada Safari Ramadhan yang diguyur hujan lebat tersebut, bupati mengucapkan terimakasih, karena jumlah jemaah yang datang sangat membludak. Hujan tidak lagi dianggap sebagai tantangan untuk beribadah.
Pada kesempatan itu H Mashuri menerangkan, pada kepemimpinannya sebagai bupati akan selalu membantu keberadaan Pondok Pesantren di Kabupaten Merangin dengan bantuan dana pembangunan dan operasional.
‘’Kalau dulu masing-masing pimpinan Pondok Pesantren selalu disibukan dengan mengajukan profosal ke Pemkab Merangin, tapi sekang tidak perlu lagi karena saya sudah menganggarkan dana bantuan untuk Pondok tersebut,’’terang Bupati.
Tampak hadir bersama bupati pada Safari Ramadah kali ini Inspektur Merangin Hatam Tafsir, Kadis Kominfo M Arief, Sekdin Kominfo H Abd Aziz, Kepala Bappeda Agus, Kasat Satpol PP   Shobraini, Kadinkes Soni dan Kadis PMD Andre.
