BATINXXIV - Sekolah menengah atas (SMA) Negeri 3 Batanghari baru-baru ini berhasil menjadi perwakilan ke tingkat Nasional dalam dua ajang bergengsi. Ajang pertma yakni Siswa Mengenal Nusantara (SML) dan kedua ajang Tekondo Kepolisian Republik Indonesia.
Kepala SMAN 3 Batanghari, Yantomas, diwawancarai di ruang kerjanya, Selasa (30/07/2019) kemarin menyebutkan, ditahun 2019 ini suatu kebanggan sekolah bisa mewakili Jambi ke ajang tingkat Nasional. “ Alhamdulillah, Ini pertama kalinya bagi SMAN 3 Batanghari menjadi perwakilan ketingkat Nasional,” ujar Kepsek kemarin.
Ia menjelaskan, pada ajang siswa mengenal nusantara diwakili oleh siswi kelas dua belas atas nama fadliyanti putri. Sebelumnya siswi ini mengikuti penyeleksian di tingkat kabupaten dan provinsi dan akhirnya menjadi perwakilan tingkat Nasional. Untuk puncak acara yang akan diikuti di provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), yang akan diikutu finalis seluruh indonesia. " Alhamdulillah mereka kalah mereka akan dapat beasiswa tunai siswa untuk sekolah," sebutnya.
Dalam ajang siswa mengenal Nusantara ini siswa akan menyampaikan essei (karangan singkat), bisa disebut juga karangan ilmiah, kemudian lansung di persentasikan.
" Untuk persiapannya sekolah juga memberi pembinaan di sekolah, untuk menyiapkan lebih baik lagi mental anak yang menjadil wakil sekolah kita ini," imbuhnya.
Sementara, Untuk ajang Tingkat Nasional Tekondo akan diwakili oleh siswi atas nama welly febri gusani siswa kelas X (sepuluh). Sisiwi satu ini berhasil menjadi finalis terbaik dan menjadi wakil Jambi ke Jakarta. " Untuk anak yang satu ini sebelumnya mengikuti turnament polda Jambi, dan menjadi perwakilan ke turnamen tingkat Nasional yang di selenggarakan oleh Polri," cetus Kepsek.
Dua siswa ini kata kepsek merupakam siswa aktif dan bahkan pentolan di sekolah. Untuk latar belakang orang tua sebenarnya mereka orang tua kurang mampu. " Keluarga dari petani, ekonomi orang tua yang dibawah. Kalau ingin berprestasi bukan latar belakang keluarga mampu. Seharusnya siswa yang punya ekonomi lebih dapat bersaing," tandasnya.
Yantomas berharap, yang jelas sekah berdoa untuk siswa dapat Menunjukan hasil yang memuaskan, dan menampilkan yang terbaik. " Prestasi yang didapat oleh anak ini merupakan kebanggaan saya pribadi sebagai kepala sekolah dan kita semua," pungkasnya.
