MERANGIN- Aktivitas Penambangan Emas Tanpa Izin (PETI) di kabupaten Merangin hingga kini  sulit untuk dihentikan. Walaupun aparat Kepolisian sering melakukan razia di lokasi tambang “haram” tersebut, namun hal itu tidak membuat pelaku PETI gentar. 

Pasalnya, hingga hari ini aktivitas PETI masih terus berlangsung bahkan semakin menjamur.

Sabtu (16/11/19) kemarin, Ketua DPRD kabupaten Merangin, Herman Efendi bersama Wakapolres Merangin, Kompol Eddy Inganta, Polsek Bangko, anggota Kodim 0420 Sarko dan Plt. Kasat Pol PP Merangin melakukan razia PETI di jalur dua arah Gedung Olah Raga (GOR) Merangin, di Kelurahan Dusun Bangko.

Diduga razia tersebut sudah bocor, karena tak satupun terlihat para pekerja PETI ada di lokasi lahan yang biasanya mereka kerjakan. Dilokasi terlihat hanya ada dua unit mesin dompeng dan tiga asbuk kokoh berdiri di lokasi tersebut, dan akhirnya dua unit dompeng dirobohkan dan dibakar oleh pihak aparat.

Ketua DPRD Kabupaten Merangin, Herman Efendi, ST. MM mengatakan, aktivitas PETI jalur dua Kodim  berdampak terhadap jalan yang longsor. Untuk itu, menurutnya harus segera bertindak untuk menghentikan aktivitas ilegal ini. Terkait dengan operasi PETI kali ini, beliau mengaku sudah berkoordinasi dengan pihak Kapolres Merangin, Dandim 0420/Sarko dan Kasat Pol PP Kabupaten Merangin.

“ Dalam operasi PETI kali ini, kami sudah berkoordinasi dengan Kapolres, Dandim dan Kasat Pol PP. Selanjutnya kami turun untuk melihat aktivitas PETI dan ternyata yang kami lihat aktivitas ini berdampak terhadap jalan yang longsor, untuk itu kita harus segera bertindak untuk menghentikan aktivitas ini,” terangnya.

Herman Efendi memberikan “ultimatum”  kepada pelaku PETI di jalur dua Kodim, agar dalam waktu tiga hari  mengosongkan lokasi tersebut.

Hal senada juga disampaikan oleh Wakapolres Merangin, Kompol Eddy Inganta,. Dia meminta  agar tidak ada lagi aktivitas PETI dilokasi tersebut.

“ Kami menghimbau kepada siapa saja yang terlibat dalam Aktivitas PETI di dekat fasilitas umum agar segera menghentikannya, selanjutnya kita beri peringatan tiga hari untuk segera meninggalkan lokasi ini,” kata Wakapolres Merangin. (don)
