Sejumlah harta perusahaan yang terbakar yakni ruang Kantin terbuat dari dinding Papan ukuran 4 x 6 m, ruang Gudang terbuat dari dinding Papan ukuran 3x4 m. Ruang Kantor dan Kasir terbuat dari Papan ukuran 3x6 m. Ruang Mess sebagian terbuat dari papan dan sebagian terbuat dari beton ukuran 6x10 m.
Informasi yang dihimpun, kebakaran diduga berasal Konsleting Arus Listrik dari dek di Ruang Kantin, selanjutnya api membesar dan turut membakar Ruang Kantor dan Mess PT. LUK.

Api cepat membesar dan membakar Ruang Kantor dan Mess dikarenakan keseluruhan bangunan yang terbakar sebagian besar terbuat dari papan.

Setelah mendapatkan laporan dari masyarakat setempat, petugas piket Polsek Pamenang langsung menghubungi Pemadam Kebakaran (Damkar) Kabupaten Merangin, untuk menurunkan mobil pemadam.

Selanjutnya aparat kepolisian langsung datang ke TKP bersama unit Reskrim dan intel Polres Merangin. Mobil Damkar tiba di TKP sekira pukul 21.40 Wib dan api dapat dipadamkan sekira pukul 22.30 WIB. 

Kapolsek Pamenang Iptu Fatkhur Rohman,  membenarkan peristiwa tersebut. Dia katankan, pihak Polsek masih mendalami kejadian kebakaran tersebut.

"Anggota sudah diturunkan dan pihak kami masih menyelidiki untuk memastikan penyebab kebakaran," tandasnya.
