BARANG ILEGAL: Kapolres Tanjab Timur, AKBP Marinus Marantika Sitepu, saat pres release tersangka dan barang bukti barang ilegal di Mapolres Tanjab Timur, kemarin.
MUARASABAK – Polres Tanjab Timur berhasil menyita 22 koli barang impor illegal. Penangkapan dilakukan Senin (4/9) dini hari di Desa Lambur, Kecamatan Muarasabak Timur, Kabupaten Tanjab Timur.
Kapolres Tanjab Timur, AKBP Marinus Marantika Sitepu, saat dikonfirmasi mengatakan, barang illegal ini masuk ke Tanjab Timur melalui pelabuhan tikus di Desa Pemusiran, Kecamatan Nipah Panjang.
“Dari hasil pemeriksaan, barang itu berasal dari Batam, Kepulauan Riau dengan tujuan Kota Jambi,” ujar AKBP Marinus Marantika Sitepu, kepada wartawan, kemarin (5/9).
Barang ilegal ini diamankan setelah pihaknya mendapat laporan dari masyarakat Minggu (3/9) sekitar pukul 22.30, ada barang impor illegal masuk di perairan Tanjab Timur. Berbekal informasi itu, tim dikerahkan dan Senin (4/9) sekitar pukul 01.00 WIB, tim menemukan dua mobil yang mengangkut barang illegal itu di Desa Lambur.
”Kita amankan saat dalam perjalanan darat di Lambur, bongkar muatnya di Pemusiaran Nipah Panjang,” ungkap Kapolres.
Lebih lanjut Kapolres menjelaskan, berdasarkan pemeriksaan awal, barang illegal tersebut milik orang Batam dengan inisial M. Sementara itu, kedua sopir pengangkut dengan inisial AW dan SW telah diamankan dan akan diproses.
Barang bukti yang diamankan yakni obat pembesar payudara dan perapat Ms P merk Sexy Boom Plus. Selain itu, ada juga sparpak mobil seperti spion mobil dan vanbel, serta pakaian dan barang elektronik radio HT. Pihak Polres juga akan menyerahkan barang bukti dan perkara ini ke Bea Cukai Provinsi Jambi, terkait kepabeanan.
Sementara itu, Sopir pengangkut barang illegal ini mengaku tidak mengetahui asal dan siap pemilik barang yang dibawanya. Mereka mengaku hanya mengambil upah angkut dari Nipah Panjang ke Kota Jambi.
”Yang punya tidak tahu, kami cuma ngambil kalau sudah di Jambi, nanti dijemput,” singkatnya.
