MUARATEBO - Pasca dilakukan penahanan oleh Kejari terhadap dua orang tersangka Suyadi dan Cahyoto atas kasus mark up lampu penerangan jalan umum (LPJU) yang mengakibatkan kerugian negara 1,6 milyar lebih, Rabu (04/12/2109) lalu. Pada hari itu juga, kuasa hukum Kadis PMD Suyadi, yaitu Tomson Purba langsung mengambil sikap dan mengajukan penangguhan penahanan dengan jaminan Bupati Tebo H. Sukandar, sebagai atasan kadis PMD.
Meski dalam surat penangguhan penahanan tersebut ditanda tangani Bupati Tebo, Pihak Kejaksaan tetap menolak penangguhan itu. Hal tersebut langsung dikatakan Kejari Tebo melalui Kasi Datun, Wawan Kurniawan.
"Pasca penahanan, kuasa hukum Suyadi mengajukan penangguhan penahanan. Namun, pengajuan tersebut langsung kita tolak," kata Kasi Datun, Wawan Kurniawan, Senin (09/12/2019).
Menurut Wawan, penolakan pengajuan penangguhan tersebut bukan tanpa alasan. Pasalnya, jika pihak kejaksaan memberikan penangguhan tersebut di khawatirkan terdakwa Suyadi akan menggulangi hal yang serupa.
"Yang pertama alasan kita menolak takutnya terdawa bisa saja menghilangkan BB, kedua terdakwa melarikan diri. Ketiga kita juga takut terdakwa mengulangi perbuatannya lagi dan yang keempat komitmen kita dalam rangka memperingati hari anti korupsi sedunia," jelas Wawan.
Sementara, Kuasa hukum Suyadi, yaitu Tomson Purba, saat dikonfirmasi terkait ditolaknya penangguhan penahanan kliennya. Dirinya tidak bisa berbuat apa-apa dan menghormati keputusan pihak kejaksaan.
"Kita hormati apa yang sudah menjadi keputusan Kejari. Tidak ada langkah hukum selanjutnya, namun kita hanya menunggu persidangan saja," kata Tomson.
