JAMBI - Tiga orang anggota komisi V DPR RI dapil Provinsi Jambi, HBA, Sopian Ali juga H. Bakri pada Jum'at (18/1/20120) mengadakan pertemuan langsung dengan Dirjen Perhubungan Laut Kementerian Perhubungan, Ir. Agus Parnomo. Pertemuan juga melibatkan perwakilan dari Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi, Bupati Tanjung Jabung Barat, Kabupaten Muarojambi, juga Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur.
Anggota komisi V DPR RI, Hasan Basri Agus (HBA) bilang, pertemuan itu guna membahas tentang proses pembangunan pelabuhan yang ada di Jambi. Pertemuan membuahkan kesepakatan bahwa pembangunan pelabuhan ujung jabung harus secepat mungkin diselesaikan.
Dengan adanya kesepakatan bersama itu, kata HBA, Kementerian Perhubungan jangan ragu - ragu lagi untuk meneruskan pembangunan ujung jabung itu. "Selama inikan pembangunannya stagnan, karena ada perbedaan pandangan antara Kepala Daerah sebelumnya," ujar HBA.
Sebelum pelabuhan ujung jabung selesai, lanjut HBA, pertumbuhan ekonomi Provinsi Jambi akan mengalami pelambatan. "Kekayaan dan rempah - rempah yang ada di Jambi diekspor melalui pelabuhan - pelabuhan yang ada di luar wilayah Jambi seperti Belalawan, Dumai, Teluk Bayur, dan ada yang melalui Palembang," kata HBA.
Akibatnya, tambah HBA, kos pembangunan ekonomi di Provinsi Jambi memerlukan biaya tinggi, sehingga nilai jual barang - barang dari masyarakat Provinsi Jambi rendah dan harga bahan yang harus dibeli masyarakat tinggi.
"Oleh karena itu kesimpulannya adalah kalau Jambi ingin maju kedepan ujung jabung harus segera diselesaikan," ucap HBA.
Selain ujung jabung, HBA mengatakan ada lima pelabuhan yang ada di Jambi, diantaranya adalah Pelabuhan Kemingking, Nipahpanjang, Pelabuhan Muara Sabak, dan pelabuhan Kuala Tungkal.
"Kesemuanya itu ada yang masih dalam proses pembangunan dan ada yang sudah selesai seperti pelabuhan Talang Duku itu sudah berfungsi sekarang," ujar HBA.
