MERANGIN - Belum hilang dalam ingatan kita tenggelamnya Ahmad Fendi (15) Siswa SMPN 4 Merangin, warga BTN Merangin Raya di Sungai Merangin, kini peristiwa serupa kembali terjadi. Kali ini nasib malang menimpa Romadoni (17), remaja asal RT 01, Desa Tanjung Rejo, Kecamatan Margo Tabir.
Romadoni dilaporkan hilang terbawa arus Sungai Margo Tabir Selasa (28/1), sekitar pukul 18.30 WIB. Sebelum menghilang, Romadoni sempat izin kepada teman-temannya sepermainannya untuk Buang Air Besar (BAB) di sungai Margo Tabir.
Informasinya, kejadian hilangnya Romadoni di Sungai Margo Tabir berawal dari kedatangannya untuk menjumpai rekan-rekannya yang sedang nongkrong di jembatan sembari bermain gitar, sekitar pukul 17.00 WIB. Karena merasa sakit perut dan ingin buang air besar, Romadoni lalu bergegas menuju sungai untuk menunaikan hazatnya.
Setelah sekian lama tak kembali, rekan-rekan Romadoni mencari dan memanggil korban, namun tak ada jawaban dari korban.
“Hingga masuk waktu magrib korban belum keluar kemudian saksi mencari dan memanggil korban diseputaran sungai tapi tidak ditemukan. Lalu, seorang saksi memanggil warga untuk bersama-sama mencari,” ujar Kasi Ops Basarnas Bungo, Kornelis setelah mendapat informasi dari masyarakat.
Dia menambahkan, bahwa pihaknya kini bersama dengan TNI dan Polri serta warga bekerja keras mencari korban. Namun kendalanya saat ini air sungai Margo Tabir sedang meluap dan arusnya sangat deras.
“Selain dari itu, korban diduga hanyut karena debit air Sungai Margo Tabir sedang meluap dan arus sangat deras,” tandasnya.
