Jalan menuju Jam Gento akan di rabat beton...
MERANGIN - Jalan menuju objek wisata Jam Gento Merangin, dalam waktu dekat akan segera dirabat beton.
Pengukuran jalan itu, telah dilakukan pada Selasa (28/1) oleh konsultan dari Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Merangin.
Dikatakan Kadis PUPR Merangin Aspan, rabat beton jalan menuju ke kawasan Jam Gento itu akan dilakukan sepanjang 100 meter.
“Jadi dari Gerbang Jam Gento sampai jalan menuju ke arah Sungai Mas akan segera mulus,” ujarnya.
Dijelaskan Aspan, jalan tersebut kondisinya naik turun, sehingga kalau diaspal akan mudah hancur. Apalagi lanjut pria berkepala plontos ini, kondisi tanah di kawasan Jam Gento cukup labil.
Kabar akan dimuluskannya jalan menuju Jam Gento tersebut, disambut gembira oleh para pegawai di jajaran Dinas Kominfo Merangin.
Itu karena Dinas Komunikasi dan Informasi (Kominfo) Merangin terhitung pertengahan November 2019 lalu kantornya hijrah dari eks kantor Kecamatan Bangko menetap di Gedung Jam Gento Merangin.
“Kami senang sekali jalan ini dirabat beton, karena pada waktu hujan kendaraan kami tidak bisa sampai ke halaman Jam Gento, hanya bisa parkir di halaman bawah,” ujar Sekdin Kominfo Merangin Abdul Aziz yang ikut dalam pengukuran jalan itu.
Kegembiraan yang sama juga diungkapkan masyarakat yang berdomisili di kawasan Jam Gento Merangin. Biasanya bila musim hujan masyarakat setempat enggan keluar rumah karena takut jatuh terpeleset.
“Tempo hari tangan saya robek dan bahu mengalami luka gores, setelah sepeda motor yang saya kendarai jatuh di pendakian jalan yang licin, usai mengantar anak sekolah,” ungkap Jejen, salah seorang warga di kawasan Jam Gento.
