Rapat Koordinasi yang dipimpin langsung oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo ini merupakan salah satu upaya dalam rangka meningkatkan sinergi dalam pengendalian kebakaran hutan dan lahan tahun 2020.

Ditemui usai kegiatan, Wabup mengatakan sesuai arahan Presiden, pengendalian Karhutla merupakan tanggungjawab bersama, perlu peran semua pihak agar bencana ini bisa teratasi sedini mungkin.

Wabup juga jelaskan, dalam kegiatan ini, para peserta mendapat pesan langsung dari Presiden Jokowi yang meminta agar pemerintah daerah dan pemerintah pusat bisa menjaga komunikasi yang baik.

“Presiden menekankan pada dua hal, pertama sinergitas antara pemerintah pusat dan daerah. Kedua upaya pencegahan bencana, harus melibatkan semua komponen, terutama masyarakat. Karena ada rencana yang berulang, kebakaran hutan dan banjir merupakan dua jenis bencana yang sering terjadi karena keteledoran manusia,” ucap Wabup Amir Sakib.

Wabup juga bilang bahwa Pemkab Tanjung Jabung Barat tentu akan mengikuti dan menjalankan apa yang menjadi arahan Presiden.

"Tentunya kita (Pemkab) akan mengikuti dan menjalankan dengan sungguh-sungguh apa yang menjadi arahan bapak Presiden terkait pengendalian kebakaran hutan dan lahan," ujar Wabup.

Sementara itu, Kepala Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Tanjab Barat, yang turut mendampingi Wakil Bupati pada kegiatan tersebut mengatakan terkait pengendalian Karhutla merupakan tanggung jawab bersama yang membutuhkan sinkronisasi dari semua pihak, termasuk TNI dan POLRI.

Rakornas Penanggulangan Bencana Tahun 2020 diikuti oleh seluruh Gubernur, Bupati/Walikota se-Indonesia, kepala BPBD Prov,kab/kota se- Indonesia, relawan bencana se-Indonesia, Kapolda, Kapolres, Pangdam, Danrem, Dandim se-Indonesia.
