TANJAB BARAT - Pemerintah Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat (Tanjabbar) gandeng PetroChina Internasional Jabung Ltd, lakukan penanaman pohon mangrove sebagai upaya hijaukan Tanjab Barat menuju Indonesia Sejuk, Jum'at (7/2/2020) di Simpang Pelabuhan Roro menuju Desa Tungkal I.
Ditemui usai kegiatan, Bupati Tanjabbar, Safrial mengatakan penanaman pohon mangrove dapat memberikan dapak yang positif bagi Indonesia maupun Dunia, dan khususnya Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat.
"Hutan mangrov bisa menyerap karbon dioksida 20 hingga 100 kali lipat di bandingkan dengan hutan tropis," jelas Safrial.
Sebagai komitmen Pemkab dalam menghijaukan Tanjung Jwbung Barat, Bupati tegaskan penanaman mangrov tetap akan terus di lakukan oleh Pemkab Tanjab Barat dan pihak lainnya.
"Penghijauan ini sudah kesekian kali. Ini bukan sekedar menanam, tapi ini menjaga kelestarian alam, dan ini bukan hanya dengan PetroChina saja tetapi dengan semua pihak," ujar Bupati.
Sementara itu, Banu Subagyo, Government and Relation Superintendent PetroChina Jabung mengatakan pihaknya dalam melakukan penanaman pohon mangrov sebanyak ratusan pohon. Hal itu di lakukan untuk mewujudkan Indonesia yang sejuk nantinya.
"Kami menanam 500 mangrov sebagai langkah untuk mendukung Pemkab Tanjabbar dan Indonesia sejuk," katanya.
Nantinya, dia berharap agar penanaman pohon yang sudah di lakukan tersebut diharapkan akan terus berkembang menjadi ratusan atau ribuan pohon lagi. Sehingga dapan memberikan dampak yang signifikan untuk alam Tanjabbar dan Indonesia. " Kita harapkaan nantinya dari 500 bisa menjadi ribuan lagi yang akan berkembang," tandasnya.
Kegiatan penanaman pohon mangrove ini juga diikuti oleh Sekretaris Daerah, Asisten, Staf Ahli, Kepala OPD, Kepala Bagian lingkup Sekretariat Daerah, dan pegawai di lingkup Pemerintah Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat.
