Sebelum mengambil SK PNS di Kantor Badan Kepegawaian  dan Pengembangan SDM Daerah (BKPSDMD) Kabupaten Merangin, 340 ASN yang terdiri dari CPNS Tahun 2018 sebanyak 247 orang, Tenaga Honor K2 sebanyak 24 orang, PTT 5 orang dan PNS yang belum pernah mengikuti pengambilan sumpah sebanyak 64 orang, diambil sumpahnya langsung dipandu oleh Bupati Merangin.

Kepala Badan Kepegawaian  dan Pengembangan SDM Daerah (BKPSDMD) Kabupaten Merangin, Nasution, SPd mengatakan, sebelum diangkat sebagai Pegawai Negeri Sipil seorang Calon Pegawai Negeri Sipil (CPNS) wajib mengucapkan sumpah atau janji. Tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sebagai abdi negara dan abdi masyarakat, dan untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan aparatur negara.

“Hendaknya pegawai yang diambil sumpahnya dapat meingkatkan keasadarannya sebagai abdi negara dan abdi masyarakat," kata Nasution.

Bupati Merangin, Al Haris dalam kata arahannya berharap, PNS yang baru diangkat hendaknya jangan berpikir untuk segera pindah, namun berbuatlah yang terbaik ditempat tugas.

“Berbuatlah yang terbaik di tempat tugas dan jangan dulu minta pindah ketempat lain, dengan berbagai-bagai alasan," katanya.

Bupati juga berharap PNS bekerja dengan ihlas agar dapat betah ditempat tugas dan bersyukur karena telah diangkat menjadi PNS. “Bekerjalah dengan ihlas dan bersyukur kepada Allah atas segala yang tealh diberikan," tegasnya.

Bagi PNS yang bekerja dengan baik, kariernya akan meningkat dan akan mendapatkan  reward, sementara  bagi ASN yang malas dan tidak bekerja dengan baik pasti akan mendapat fanishmen.

“Diantaranya PNS diberikan berbagai hak dan jabatan tentu  bagi yang bekerja dengan baik, bagi yang berbuat salah misalnya korupsi akan mendapat hukuman sampai kepada pemberian sebagai angota PNS atau ASN. Dan saya sudah banyak memberhentikan orang tapi itu kesalahan jelas dan saya hanya tandatangan," tandasnya.
