Saat dibincang, Dandim 0420/Sarko Letkol Inf Tomi Radya Diansyah Lubis, S.A.P., M.Han., mengatakan bahwa kegiatan donor darah ini merupakan petujuk dari komando atas dalam rangka membantu PMI mengatasi kekurangan persediaan donor darah akibat social distancing.
"Donor darah ini kita bekerja sama dengan  Pemda Merangin melalui Unit Transfusi Darah (UTD) Laboratorium RSD Kol. Abundjani Bangko dan Poskes Bangko," jelas Letkol Tomi.
Lebih lanjut dikatakan Dandim, donor ini membantu PMI dalam mengantisipasi kekurangan persediaan pendonor akibat kebijakan social distancing," tambahnya.
Terpisah Armaini, S.Si. petugas dari UTD Laboratorium RSD Kol. Abundjani menjelaskan donor darah di Kodim ini kita siapkan 20 kantong dan sebelum dilakukan donor kita lakukan pemeriksaan terhadap prajurit dan mengisi ceklis sebagai data informasi mengenai pemeriksaan laboratorium.
"Ya, dalam donor ini UTD Laboratorium RSD Kol. Abundjani siapkan 20 kantong, meskipun pendonor dari anggota Kodim cukup banyak," jelas Armaini.
Sebelum pelaksanaan, masing masing pendonor terlebih dahulu diperiksa suhu tubuh dan mengisi data informasi yang disediakan.
Selanjutnya darah akan diperiksa terhadap HBsAg, HIV, Siphylis dan HCV," tandasnya.
