MUARABULIAN - Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah (DPRD) kabupaten Batanghari, daerah pemilihan empat (Dapil IV) Kecamatan Mersam- Maro Sebo Ulu pada Selasa (31/3/2020) kemarin, secara langsung memberikan bantuan berupa alat penyemprotan beserta cairan disinfektan.
Ini merupakan upaya dan langkah pencegahan penyebaran Corona Virus Desease (Covid-19) yang saat sedang mewabah di seluruh dunia.
Bantuan alat penyemprotan dan cairan disinfektan ini diserahkan langsung oleh delapan orang anggota dewan dapil IV yakni Ilhamudin selaku Wakil Ketua DPRD Batanghari beserta anggota DPRD Dapil IV, Muhammad Mahdan, Aminuddin, Jaafar, Sirojudin, Muhyi, Raden Tarmizi dan Marzani di Kantor Camat Mersam.
Unit penyemprotan dan cairan disinfektan ini diberikan untuk dua kecamatan, yaitu kecamatan Mersam dan kecamatan Maro Sebo Ulu. Bantuan tersebut secara langsung disaksikan oleh Kapolsek Mersam, Kapolsek Maro Sebo Ulu, Koramil, Camat dan pihak Dinas Kesehatan.
Politisi Partai Gerindra, Aminuddin saat itu bilang, pemberian bantuan ini tak lain sebagai bentuk kepedulian anggota dewan dapil IV sebagai wakil rakyat dalam mencegah penyebaran Covid-19 agar tidak meluas, khusunya di kecamatan Mersam dan Maro Sebo Ulu.
”Bantuan ini adalah bentuk kepedulian anggota dewan dapil IV untuk pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19 yang saat ini mengkhwatirkan masyarakat di dua kecamatan itu,” ujar Aminuddin.
Aminuddin juga berharap bantuan yang diberikan bisa bermanfaat untuk orang banyak dan akan segera dilakukan penyemprotan dengan disinfektan.
“Nanti rumah-rumah warga bisa disemprot cairan disinfektan untuk mematikan virus sebagai upaya pencegahan Covid-19," ungkapnya.
Sementara itu Ilhamudin Politisi PKB mengajak seluruh masyarakat untuk menjaga pola hidup sehat dan bersih agar terhindar dari virus corona atau Covid-19.
Wakil Ketua DPRD Batanghari itu berharap penyebaran virus corona di Indonesia khususnya di provinsi Jambi dapat segera berakhir.
“Kita sebentar lagi dihadapkan dengan bulan suci ramadhan, semoga di bulan suci nanti virus corona sudah hilang dan kita semua umat muslim dapat menjalankan ibadah dengan tenang,” harapnya.
