“Semua harus menggunakan masker saat melakukan aktivitas di luar rumah, sesuai anjuran dari Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) yang di umumkan pemerintah pusat,” kata Fachrori melalui Juru Bicara Penanganan Covid-19 Provinsi Jambi, Johansyah,SE,ME, Senin (6/4).
Fachrori mengatakan, imbauan ke masyarakat ini dikatakan langsung oleh Presiden RI Joko Widodo saat memimpin rapat terbatas mengenai laporan Tim Gugus Tugas Covid-19 melalui video conference di Istana Kepresidenan.
Fachrori berharap masyarakat dapat menjalankan dan menaati aturan pemerintah. Hal ini juga bertujuan untuk mencegah terjadinya penularan Covid-19 di Provinsi Jambi. Fachrori menambahkan, Gugus Tugas Penanganan Covid-19 Provinsi Jambi berupaya untuk mengadakan masker bagi masyarakat, termasuk dengan pembuatan masker kain oleh Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) Dinas Tenaga kerja dan Transmigrasi Provinsi Jambi.
Sehari sebelumya, Minggu, 5 April 2020, Juru Bicara Penanganan Covid-19 di Indonesia, Achmad Yurianto menegaskan, masyarakat, sesuai rekomendasi dari Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO), semua harus menggunakan masker saat bepergian atau beraktivitas di luar rumah. Penggunaan masker tidak lagi ditujukan hanya untuk orang yang sakit dan berisiko gejala.
