Mobil tersebut melakukan pengangkutan Bahan Bakar Minyak (BBM) jenis solar yang disubsidi pemerintah tanpa dokumen yang sah.

Adapun kronoligis penangkapnnya menurut pihak Kepolisian, pada hari tanggal 11 April 2020 sekira pukul 18.00 WIB anggota Sat Reskrim Polres Merangin mendapat informasi bahwa ada 1 (satu) Unit Mobil Mitsubishi L300 yang akan melakukan pengangkutan bahan bakar Minyak jenis Solar yang disubsidi tanpa dokumen yg sah menuju Kecamatan Tabir Barat. Selanjutnya Anggota  Sat Reskrim Polres Merangin menindak lanjuti Informasi tersebut, saat berada di jalan Desa Koto Baru Kecamatan Tabir Lintas Kabupaten Merangin. Anggota Sat Reskrim Polres Merangin melihat 1 (Satu) Unit Mobil L300 Warna Hitam dengan Bak yang ditutup terpal warna biru yang diduga membawa atau mengangkut Bahan Bakar Minyak (BBM) jenis solar tanpa dokumen yg sah. Kemudian Anggota Sat Reskrim Polres Merangin memberhentikan mobil tersebut. Setelah berhenti dan dilakukan introgasi diketahui sopir mobil tersebut bernama Muhammad Hadi Alias Edi yang mana Mobil trsebut membawa bahan Bakar minyak Jenis Solar sebanyak 70 (tujuh Puluh) Galon. Menurut  sdr Muhammad HADI bahan Bakar tersebut diperoleh dengan cara membeli dari sdr DAYAT dan akan dibawa menuju rumahnya yang berada di Desa Telentam untuk dijual kembali dengan harga yang lebih tinggi. Selanjutnya Barang Bukti dan Sopir dibawa menuju   Polres Merangin guna proses lebih lanjut.

Kapolres Merangin, AKBP M Lutfi mengatakan, solar tersebut ditangkap di  Desa Tambang Baru, Kecamatan Tabir Lintas, Merangin.

“Sekarang masih dilakukan pemeriksaan,” tandas  Lutfi.
