MUARABULIAN - Menjelang perayaan Hari Raya Idul Fitri 1441 H tahun ini, dihimbau kepada masyarakat untuk dapat bersikap waspada dan lebih jeli dan teliti terhadap berbagai jenis produk makanan, minuman (mamin-red) dan penganan lebaran.
Karena biasanya, menjelang perayaan hari besar keagamaan umat Muslim tersebut, sangat banyak beredar produk-produk yang tidak layak konsumsi atau expired/kadaluwarsa (habis masa penggunaan-red) beredar di pasaran.
Seperti pada tahun lalu, Dinas Koperindag kabupaten Batanghari menemukan barang kadaluarsa disejumlah supermarket dan toko di wilayah pasar PU Muaratembesi.
Barang kadaluarsa yang ditemukan adalah barang makanan berupa Saos Sambal Sasa dan Kopi saset merek ABC. Selain itu, dinas Koperindag juga menemukan kemasan naget ayam yang sudah rusak dan masih dijual pedagang.
Temuan ini hasil pemantauan dinas Koperindag Batanghari di pasar PU Muaratembesi pada awal puasa Ramadhan tahun 2019 lalu.
Kadis Koperindag Batanghari, Syafe’i melalui Kabid Perdagangan, Feriyanto mengaku, meskipun belum ada rencana pihaknya untuk melakukan sidak ke sejumlah pasar maupun sejumlah mini market yang ada di wilayah Batanghari, dirinya menghimbau kepada masyarakat untuk tetap waspada dan lebih jeli dan teliti terhadap berbagai produk makanan dan minuman yang di jual pedangan.
Karena takutnya masih ada produk-produk makanan dan minuman yang tidak layak konsumsi atau habis amsa penggunaannya beredar di pasaran.
“Memang untuk saat ini kita belum ada rencana untuk melakukan sidak ke pasar yang ada ditengah wabah Covid-19 saat ini. Namun kita akan berupaya untuk melakukan sidak produk barang beredar di sejumlah mini market yang ada,” kata Feriyanto ditemuai media ini pekan lalu.
Feriyanto menghimbau kepada masyarakat yang bertindak sebagai konsumen untuk dapat bersikap cerdas dan aktif. Yang terpenting diingatkan, konsumen harus membeli produk yang terdaftar dan jangan kadaluarsa,” katanya.
Kepada pedagang dihimbau kalau membeli produk harus dibeli dari distributor resmi dan jangan sembarangan, sehingga ada yang bertanggung jawab jika ada masalah dikemudian hari.
Jika ada temuan terhadap produk-produk yang telah kadaluarsa dan tidak memiliki izin edar dari BP POM RI, tindakan yang pertama dilakukan adalah pembinaan yang disertai dengan surat pernyataan dan pemusnahan produk tersebut.
Kalau masih berulang, bisa dikenakan sanksi hukum, tergantung tingkat kesalahannya dan bisa dikenakan Undang-Undang tentang Kesehatan dan Pangan atau juga Undang-Undang tentang Perlindungan Konsumen.
