KUALATUNGKAL - Tim Polres Tanjung Jabung Barat (Tanjabar) dan Polsek Tungkal Ilir mengungkap peredaran uang palsu (Upal) sebanyak Rp 245,3 juta dan empat tersangka berniasial A, S, M dan A telah diamankan diwilayah hukum polres Tanjab Barat.
Kapolres Tanjabbar, AKBP Guntur Saputro mengatakan uang yang sudah beredar sekitar Rp 1,5 juta. Uang itu beredar di pasar dan tempat jasa. Selain itu di toko toko juga telah beredar," katanya
Dijelaskan Kapolres, jika uang itu pertama didapatkan dari tersangka D (red,DPO) kemudian uang itu diberikan kepada A dan S. kemudia uang itu diberikan kepada M kemudian uang itu di sebagian diberikan kepada A. "Di A inilah uang mulai di edarkan termasuk tempat pijat dan dipasaran. Dengan cara belanja dengan uang Rp 100 ribu palsu," terang kapolres.
Lanjut Kapolres menyebutkan, para pelaku tersebut hanya diberikan uang untuk menyimpan namun entah mengapa uang itu di edarkan. Sepertinya, kata dia, ada skenario baru. "Jadi, perintah awal untuk di simpan, tapi entah kenapa kok di edarkan kita masih dalami motif ini," kata kapolres.
Saat ditanya uang itu dari mana, Guntur belum bisa menyebutkan. Sebab, kata dia, yang mengetahui uang itu dari mana merupakan D. Yang saat ini tengah di buru," beber kapolres.
Akibat perbuatannya Para pelaku terancam dua pasal berlapis yakni pasal terkait dengan peredaran uang dan penyimpanan. Untuk peredaran nya terancam 10 tahun dan penyimpanan 15 tahun.
