Bupati didampingi Wabup Merangin, H. Mashuri mengatakan, di Kabupaten Merangin ada juga tenaga kerja asing. Makanya ini harus diawasi betul, jangan sampai tenaga asing itu masuk ke wilayah Kabupaten Merangin tanpa ada pantau dari pihak terkait.
‘’Kabupaten Merangin dekat dengan Bandara Bungo dan letak geografisnya berada diperlintasan Jalan Lintas Sumatera, dimana volume orang dan barang yang melintasinya juga meningkat. Penduduk Kabupaten Merangin masuk tiga besar di Provinsi Jambi,’’ terang Bupati.

‘’Kami sudah siap 100 persen. Jika nanti masih ada yang harus dilengkapi, akan segara kami siapkan. Saya juga siap untuk audiensi dengan Dirjen, membawa data pendudung untuk pembangunan UKK Imigrasi ini di Merangin,’’ terang Bupati.
Diterangkan bupati, Kepala Devisi Keimigrasian Kanwil Kemenkum HAM Jambi Ny Morina Harahap bersama rombongan dengan Wabup Merangin H Mashuri tadi telah memantau langsung lokasi rencana kantornya.
‘’Kita akan gunakan Kantor Samsat, karena di sana lokasinya cukup memadai, baik gedung, lahan parkir dan jaringan internetnya sudah siap pakai. Untuk Samsat nanti akan kita pindahkan ke lokasi lebih luas di eks Kantor Kehutanan Merangin,’’ jelas Bupati.
Sementara itu Kepala Devisi Keimigrasian Kanwil Kemenkum HAM Jambi Ny Morina Harahap mengatakan, kunjungan kerjanya ke Kabupaten Merangin bersama rombongan, untuk berkoordinasi dengan bupati terjadap permohonan pendirian UKK Imigrasi.
‘’Selain itu kami untuk meninjau rencana lokasi UKK Imigrasi di Merangin. Kami juga ingin tahu sejauh mana persiapan Kabupaten Merangin dalam pendirian UKK Imigrasi ini. Kita juga  berencana memanggil semua manager perusahaan di  Jambi untuk sosialisasi peraturan Imigrasi,’’ terang  Ny Morina Harahap.
Pada kesempatan itu, Kepala Devisi Keimigrasian Kanwil Kemenkum HAM Jambi mengaku, sangat berterimakasih atas kesiapan dan respon yang sangat baik sekali dari Bupati  Merangin, H. Al Haris bersama Wabup H Mashuri terhadap rencana pendirian UKK Imigrasi di Merangin tersebut.
