MUARABULIAN - Pengurus Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) dan Ikatan Keluarga Wartawan Indonesia (IKWI) Kabupaten Batanghari resmi dikukuhkan dan dilantik bersamaan di Gedung Pemuda Muarabulian, Selasa (21/7/2020).
Pengurus PWI Batanghari dilantik oleh Ketua PWI Provinsi Jambi, H. Raden Ridwan Agus Depati. Sedangkan pengurus IKWI Batanghari dilantik oleh Ketua IKWI Provinsi Jambi, Hj. Endang Rahma Haryanti, SE.
Ketua PWI Batanghari, Surtan dalam kesempatan itu mengucapkan terima kasih kepada panitia dan dukungan dan support dari pemerintah kabupaten Batanghari, sehingga acara pelantikan pengurus PWI dan IKWI Batanghari dapat terlaksana sesuai dengan harapan,” katanya.
Surtan juga mengatakan, pelantikan pengurus PWI dan IKWI yang dilakukan bersamaan ini baru pertama kali dilakukan di kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Jambi.
“Ini menjadi kebanggaan tersendiri bagi kami. Tentunya ini tidak bisa dilakukan tanpa support dari berbagai pihak, terutama Pemkab Batanghari,” ujar Surtan.
Sementara itu Ketua PWI Provinsi Jambi, H. Raden Ridwan Agus Depati mengekankan kepada pengurus dan anggota PWI Batanghari khususnya agar dapat mempergunakan profesi dengan sebenar benarnya. Beliau juga menghimbau agar kita dapat meningkatkan sumber daya manusia dan jadikanlah insan pers yang berdedikasi tinggi dan keberadaan wartawan yang berwawasan luas,” kata Ketua PWI Provinsi Jambi.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama Bupati Batanghari mengucapkan selamat kepada pengurus PWI dan IKWI Batanghari yang telah dilantik.
Untuk diketahui pembentukan Pengurus PWI Batanghari Berdasarkan Surat Keputusan PWI Provinsi Jambi Nomor : 03/PWI- JBI/SK/VI/2020 tentang Pengukuhan Pengurus Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) Kabupaten Batanghari Masa Bakti 2020-2023.
SK ini ditetapkan di Jambi tanggal 17 Juni 2020 yang ditanda tangani Ketua PWI Provinsi Jambi, H. Ridwan Agus Depati, Wakil Bidang Organisasi, Yasmin Simamora dan Sekretaris, Heri FR. Dimana, M. Surtan menahkodai PWI Batanghari, Sekretaris Raden Suhur, dan Bendahara Pratiwi Resti Amalia.
Turut hadir Ketua TP-PKK Batanghari, Hj. Yunninta Asamara, SH, Ketua DPRD Batanghari Anita Yasmin, SE, Wakapolres Batanghari, Kompol H. Soekamto, SH, Dandim 0415/Batanghari, Forkopimda Batanghari, pengurus PWI Provisni Jambi, para Asisten dan para kepala OPD serta undangan lainnya.
