Acara yang dikemas secara virtual dan live steaming Menteri Pertanian Menyapa itu, berlangsung mulai pukul 09.10 WIB, diikuti serentak oleh Gubernur dan Bupati/Walikota seluruh Indonesia.
‘’Gerakan Nasional Diversifikasi Pangan Lokal ini, dalam rangka menurunkan konsumsi beras dan meningkatkan konsumsi pangan lokal dengan motto ‘Sehat dan Bahagia dengan Pangan Lokal,’’ ujar Wabup.
Acara tersebut juga diikuti, Kadis Ketahanan Pangan Selamat, Kadis Perindag H Ladani, Kepala Bappeda Merangin Dr Agus dan Asisten II Setda Merangin Mardansyah Saidi serta pejabat eselon III dari instansi terkait.
Menariknya dipenghujung acara, diputar video Diversifikasi Pangan Lokal. Video ini memotivasi setiap provinsi dan kabupaten/kota di Indomesia, untuk terus meningkatkan produksi pangan lokalnya.
Sementara itu, Menteri Pertanian (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo mengatakan, Gerakan Diversifikasi Pangan itu digelar sebagai upaya untuk mendorong ketersediaan dan konsumsi pangan yang beragam, bergizi seimbang dan aman.
Dikatakan Syahrul Yasin Limpo, gerakan diversifikasi pangan tersebut, mewakili harapan dan kebutuhan dari seluruh rakyat Indonesia, agar ketahanan pangan tetap kokoh, yang memperkuat hadirnya negara yang sejahtera.
‘’Kita nyatakan diverifikasi pangan lokal adalah kekayaan dan budaya bangsa. Bukan hanya beras yang kita miliki, tapi berbagai pangan lainnya, ada ubi-ubian, jagung, sorgum, sagu, kentang, labu dan lainnya,’’ tandas Mentan.
