KERINCI - Gubernur Jambi, Dr.Drs.H.Fachrori Umar,M.Hum menyatakan, Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi telah mulai melakukan pengerjaan pengembangan Bandara Depati Parbo secara bertahap, yang merupakan harapan masyarakat Kerinci selama ini. Hal tersebut dinyatakan Fachrori usai melakukan Peninjauan Lokasi Pengembangan Bandara Depati Parbo, Kabupaten Kerinci, Sabtu (19/09/2020).
Fachrori mengatakan, pengembangan Bandara Depati Parbo dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap, untuk tahap sekarang sedang dilakukan persiapan guna pembangunan konstruksi, apron, dan taxiway. Persiapan dilakukan pada areal seluas 4 Ha.
"Kedepannya luas apron yang akan kita bangun sepanjang 190 meter X 70 meter, yang dapat dipergunakan untuk memarkir 3 unit pesawat dalam waktu yang bersamaan, harapannya tentu dengan 3 rute yang berbeda," tambah Fachrori.
Fachrori menuturkan, akses (jalan) masuk Bandara Depati Parbo akan mengalami perubahan, semula akses masuk berada di Koto Baru Hiang, akan diubah ke Koto Iman. Akses masuk melalui Koto Iman nantinya memiliki panjang jalan 900 meter sampai ke bandara, dengan lebar badan jalan satu ruasnya 6-8 meter, yang nantinya akan ada 2 ruas jalan pada akses masuk bandara.
"Pengerjaan akses masuk Bandara Depati Parbo ini masuk dalam pengerjaan tahap pertama yaitu persiapan. Nantinya, kita akan melakukan penimbunan lahan terlebih dahulu karena areal lahan yang telah dibebaskan untuk bandara ini merupakan areal persawahan," tutur Fachrori.
Fachrori menjelaskan, setelah proses persiapan pengembangan Bandara Depati Parbo pada tahap pertama selesai semua, selanjutnya akan dibangun gedung terminal yang baru, lokasi parkir yang baru, gedung PKP PK (Pertolongan Kecelakaan Penerbangan dan Pemadaman Kebakaran) yang baru, dan gedung lainnya, beserta lokasi perkantoran yang baru.
Fachrori menambahkan, dengan kondisi akses jalan masuk baru ke bandara pada tahap pengembangan Bandara Depati Parbo, kedepannya, terminal yang lama akan menjadi lokasi kargo.
