BATANGHARINEWS.COM, JAMBI - SKK Migas dan PetroChina memberikan bantuan sembako kepada wartawan yang tergabung dalam Forum Jurnalis Migas (FJM). Bantuan ini untuk kedua kali diberikan selama covid 19 mewabah.
Mewakili SKK Migas dan PetroChina Ketua Forum Jurnalis Migas (FJM) Jambi, Mursyid Sonsang dan Sekretaris FJM, Muhammad Surtan menyerahkan bantuan sembako tersebut kepada para wartawan di kawasan Mayang, Kotabaru, Kota Jambi, Sabtu sore 10 Oktober 2020.
"Ini wujud sinergi nyata antara SKK-PetroChina dan FJM membantu wartawan di tengah pandemi," ujar Mursyid.
Alumni Lemhanas PPSA 2012 itu menyadari betapa pentingnya peran wartawan sabagai garda terdepan dalam menyajikan informasi penanganan pandemi Covid-19. Di sisi lain, wartawan sangat rentan tercangkit covid 19. Selama covid 19 mewabah di Provinsi Jambi sudah 4 wartawan yang positif.
"Wartawan termasuk kelompok terdampak corona. Ancaman dari covid juga ancaman ekonomi. Sebagian besar media di Provinsi Jambi tidak mampu lagi membayar gaji atau honor yang layak bagi wartawan," jelas Ketua PWI Provinsi Jambi periode 2008 - 2007 ini.
Dibalik itu, Mursyid menyayangkan imbas dari Covid-19 ini, Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi serta Kabupaten/kota melalui Dinas Kominfo dan Humas justru memangkas anggaran untuk publikasi media massa. " Malahan selama tahun 2020 ini, hanya 4 bulan yang dibayar Pemda kepada media untuk publikasi," ujar pendiri JMSI dan SMSI ini.
Padahal dalam pertemuan secara virtual Menteri Keuangan, Sri Mulyani, Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika Johnny G. Plate, Ketua Dewan Pers dan sejumlah perwakilan asosiasi media massa nasional, 24 Juli 2020 lalu sepakat untuk memberi insentif dan keringanan untuk perusahaan media.
Salah keputusannya Pemerintah akan menginstruksikan semua kementerian agar mengalihkan anggaran belanja iklan mereka, terutama iklan layanan masyarakat (ILM), kepada media lokal.
Sementara itu ditempat terpisah Kepala Perwakilan SKK Migas Sumbagsel Adiyanto Agus Handoyo, menyebutkan bahwa bantuan ini diberikan sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab industri hulu migas terhadap mitranya, dalam hal ini rekan-rekan jurnalis yang tergabung dalam Forum Jurnalis Migas (FJM) Jambi. "Kami sangat mengerti kondisi saat ini, bahwa selama Covid-19 ini mewabah hampir semua lini merasakan dampaknya tak terkecuali industri media. Sebagai mitra kami yang selama ini sangat aktif membantu menyebarluaskan informasi-informasi terkait industri hulu migas, sudah menjadi kewajiban rasanya bagi kami untuk membantu meringankan keadaan rekan-rekan jurnalis," ujar Adiyanto. Ia juga mengharapkan semoga rekan-rekan jurnalis selalu dalam kondisi sehat dan aman serta ia juga menghimbau agar seluruh insan media untuk tetap mengedepankan protokol kesehatan dalam menjalankan tugasnya.(*)
