Kegiatan ini dipimpin langsung oleh Dandim 0420/Sarko Letkol Inf Tomi Radya Diansyah Lubis, S.A.P. M.Han dan Kapolres Merangin AKBP Irwan Andy Purnawaman, SIK . Dengan melibatkan puluhan Personil.

Dalam kesempatannya Dandim Sarko mengatakan bahwa pembagian masker yang dilakukan oleh personil gabugan TNI-Polri di Tugu Pedang ini merupakan wujud Sinergitas untuk bersama-sama mendukung pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19 di Kabupaten Merangin.

“Karena terlihat disini kesadaran masyarakat masih kurang, masih ada masyarakat yang kurang mematuhi Protokol Kesehatan dengan tidak menggunakan masker saat diluar rumah atau pergi ke tempat keramaian. Padahal menggunakan masker merupakan salah satu cara mencegah penyebaran Covid-19," terang Dandim.

Sementara itu dalam kegiatan ini didapati masyarakat yang tidak mengenakan masker langsung diberikan teguran lisan serta kami berikan edukasi pentingnya Protokol Kesehatan dan juga langsung diberikan Masker oleh personil gabungan.

Seharusnya masyarakat paham dalam situasi di masa pandemi Covid-19 saat ini yang begitu berpengaruh dalam setiap aktifitas kehidupan sehari-hari, sudah seharusnya masyarakat lebih bijaksana dalam memahami kebijakan yang telah di keluarkan oleh Pemerintah tentang Protokol Kesehatan yang di tetapkan.

“Untuk itu saya harap masyarakat bisa ikut andil dalam mendukung upaya pencegahan Covid-19 ini, karena ini bukan hanya tugas kami semata tapi semua berperan penting dalam memberantas Covid-19, mari kita terapkan disiplin Protokol Kesehatan dalam aktifitas sehari-hari demi kesehatan dan keselamatan kita bersama,” imbuh Letkol Tomi.
