JAMBI - DPRD Provinsi Jambi menggelar sidang paripurna dalam rangka Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) ke-64 Provinsi Jambi di ruangan utama gedung DPRD Provinsi Jambi, Rabu (6/1).
Sidang paripurna dipimpin langsung Ketua DPRD Provinsi Jambi Edi Purwanto didampingi Wakil Ketua DPRD Rocky Candra, Pinto Jayanegara dan Burhanuddin Mahir serta dihadiri Gubernur Jambi dan Staf Ahli Mendagri Bidang Kemasyarakatan dan Hubungan Antar Lembaga, Dr Sugeng Hariyono.
Ketua DPRD Provinsi Jambi, Edi Purwanto saat membuka rapat paripurna mengharapkan upaya pembangunan dibidang kesehatan terutama di masa Pandemi COVID-19 semakin baik dan peningkatan perekonomian masyarakat, ketersediaan lapangan kerja, keterbukaan akses serta pelayanan publik.
"Termasuk pembangunan sektor pertanian, perkebunan yang diharapkan mempercepat pemulihan dan memperkuat kehidupan masyarakat maupun kinerja pemerintahan daerah," kata Edi.
Dalam paripurna HUT ke-64 Provinsi Jambi itu, Wakil Ketua DPRD Provinsi Jambi Rocky Candra membacakan naskah Badan Kongres Rakyat Jambi.
Kemudian ada penyerahan sertifikat warisan budaya dan beberapa penghargaan oleh Gubernur Jambi.
Sementara Gubernur Jambi Fachrori Umar dalam sambutannya membeberkan capaian Provinsi Jambi selama tahun 2020.
Dalam pidatonya, Fachrori terlebih dahulu menyampaikan atas nama pemerintah Provinsi Jambi dan pribadi serta segenap jajaran mengucapkan terima kasih yang tulus kepada para Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur Jambi terdahulu yang telah banyak berbuat dan mengabdi untuk membangun Jambi yang lebih baik, juga mendoakan para pendiri Provinsi Jambi yang telah mendahului.
"Semoga amal baik mereka diterima Allah SWT dan orang tua-tua kita, keluarga besar yang masih bersama pada hari ini semoga diberi umur panjang, sehat dan kekuatan," kata Fachrori.
Dalam HUT Jambi yang digelar setiap 6 Januari ini, tema yang diangkat di tahun ini yakni "Dengan Kebersamaan Provinsi Jambi Bergerak Melawan Pandemi COVID-19" yang memiliki arti dan makna strategis dalam konteks sinergitas untuk membangkitkan kembali ekonomi Provinsi Jambi setelah dilanda Pandemi COVID-19.
Dalam kesempatan itu Fachrori salah satunya memaparkan pencapaian bidang kesehatan khususnya dalam upaya penanganan dampak COVID-19, dimana Pemprov Jambi telah melakukan banyak hal pada tahun 2020 mulai dari penunjukan rumah sakit rujukan COVID-19, penambahan fasilitas rujukan dan tempat perawatan isolasi, penyiapan tempat isolasi pasien berstatus Orang Tanpa Gejala (OTG), penyediaan sarana akomodasi bagi tenaga kesehatan, penambahan jumlah tenaga kesehatan termasuk upaya peningkatan kapasitas testing dengan RT-PCR.(*)
