TANJABBARAT - Usai meninjau posko Karhutla di Muaro Jambi, Ketua DPRD Provinsi Jambi Edi Purwanto bergerak menuju posko karhutla di wilayah Tanjung Jabung Barat di Desa Muntialo, Kecamatan Betara, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat.
Ditemui di sela-sela kunjungan, Edi Purwanto mengatakan jika kunjungan dirinya bersama rombongan guna memantau langsung kesiapan tim di lapangan untuk melakukan langkah-langkah yang cepat dan tepat baik dalam mencegah dan memadamkan api.
"Ini untuk melakukan mitigasi, kontingensi dan tindakan lainnya," kata Edi, Kamis (4/3/2021).
Masalah Karhutla, diingatkan kembali oleh Edi, bukan hanya tugas TNI/Polri saja tapi sangat dibutuhkan sinergitas baik Pemerintah Pusat, Provinsi dan Kabupaten Kota termasuk partisipasi masyarakat dan perusahaan.
Dengan bersinergi dan langkah-langkah pencegahan yang sudah dilakukan, politisi PDI Perjuangan itu meyakini karhutla bisa dikurangi.
"Dukungan pendanaan yang cukup harus disiapkan baik Pemprov maupun Pemkab,” ujarnya.
Selain Ketua DPRD Provinsi, kunjungan itu juga diikuti oleh Kapolda Jambi Irjen Pol Albertus Rachmad Wibowo dan Wakapolda Brigjen Pol Yudawan R serta Kepala Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Jambi Bachyuni.
Selain itu juga tampak hadir langsung Dandim Tanjab, Bupati, Wakil Bupati, Sekda, Wakil ketua DPRD, dan Anggota DPRD Provinsi Faisal Reza.
