JAMBI - Ketua DPRD Provinsi Jambi, Edi Purwanto mendampingi Menteri Sosial RI Tri Rismaharini meninjau proses perekaman data Nomor Induk Kependudukan (NIK) - Kartu Tanda Penduduk elektronik (e-KTP) bagi warga Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) di Desa Jelutih, Kecamatan Batin XXIV, Kabupaten Batanghari, Rabu (10/03/2021).
Ada peristiwa menarik saat Edi menemani Mensos Risma mengunjungi kawasan Sungai Terap tempat SAD bermukim. Usai Risma berdialog dengan beberapa warga SAD, Edi mengajak Risma untuk menyadap salah satu pohon karet yang ada di lokasi.
“Ayo bu saya tunjukin cara nyadap karet,” ujar Edi ke Risma.
Setelah menyerahkan pisau sadap ke Risma, Edi pun memandu mantan Walikota Surabaya itu menyayatkan pisau sadap ke batang pohon karet sehingga mengeluarkan getah.
"Wah bagus ini Bu hasilnya (sadapan, red), tuh getahnya banyak keluar," puji Edi kepada Risma.
Kepada awak media Edi menyampaikan bahwa dirinya rutin melakukan aktifitas sadap getah waktu duduk di bangku SMP di Sarolangun. Saat dia melihat ada warga SAD yang memegang pisau sadap, hatinya tergerak untuk mencoba menyadap pohon karet lagi.
“Jadi ini bukan pencitraan ya, saya tadi cuma pengen nyoba aja (nyadap karet, red), Alhamdulillah masih bisa,” ujarnya tertawa.
Setelah melakukan kunjungan kerja ke kawasan SAD Sungai Terap. Rombongan Kemensos RI dan Forkopimda provinsi Jambi pulang ke Jambi dan makan malam bersama di Rumah Dinas Ketua DPRD Provinsi Jambi.(*)
