JAMBI - Sekretaris Daerah Provinsi Jambi membuka secara resmi Final Seleksi Calon Peserta Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara, Minggu (18/4), bertempat di hotel Shang Ratu. Hadir pada kesempatan tersebut Plt. Kepala Dinas Kepemudaan dan Olahraga Provinsi Jambi, Tim Seleksi Calon Peserta Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara Provinsi Jambi Tahun 2021, Para Peserta Seleksi Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara Provinsi Jambi Tahun 2021 serta OPD terkait lingkup Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi.
Dalam sambutannya Sekda menyatakan bahwa Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara (PPAN) merupakan program tahunan, kerja sama Pemerintah Indonesia dengan negara-negara sahabat dalam pengembangan potensi generasi muda untuk menambah khasanah pengetahuan dan wawasan serta mempersiapkan diri dalam menghadapi tantangan global yang semakin kompleks di masa yang akan datang.
"Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara ini bertujuan untuk mempererat persahabatan dan kerja sama pemuda Indonesia dengan pemuda negara sahabat, serta meningkatkan saling pengertian antara pemuda Indonesia dengan negara sahabat" ujar Sekda.
Dilanjutkan Sekda bahwa Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara Provinsi Jambi Tahun 2021 akan dialokasikan ke 2 (dua) negara, yaitu Pertukaran Pemuda Indonesia Australia (PPIA) sebanyak 1 orang (putri), dan Singapore Indonesia Youth Leaders Exchange Programme (SIYLEP) sebanyak 1 orang (putra).
"Sedangkan jumlah peserta seleksi Program PPAN Provinsi Jambi ini 140 orang peserta. Hal ini mencerminkan bahwa kompetisi yang lulus menjadi peserta PPAN Provinsi Jambi Tahun 2021 ini sangat ketat. Maka, peserta yang lulus seleksi dan menjadi pemuda/pemudi utusan Provinsi Jambi dalam PPAN, sudah harus memiliki kemampuan yang baik, sesuai dengan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan untuk mengikuti Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara "ungkapnya.
Sekda juga menambahkan bahwa Pemuda/pemudi Provinsi Jambi yang nantinya menjadi peserta PPAN Tahun 2021, akan menjadi duta Provinsi Jambi yang harus mampu mempromosikan Provinsi Jambi di negara mitra tempat pelaksanaan PPAN.
"Supaya bisa mempromosikan Provinsi Jambi dengan baik, maka peserta PPAN harus memiliki pengetahuan dan wawasan yang sangat baik terhadap Provinsi Jambi, yakni potensi-potensi yang dimiliki Provinsi Jambi, baik sumber daya alam, budaya, pariwisata, dan potensi lainnya" katanya.
Sekda menyakini bahwa peserta yang lulus seleksi, mempunyai kemampuan komunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris dengan baik, baik secara lisan maupun tertulis.
"Saya berharap kegiatan ini menjadi bagian dari upaya peningkatan kualitas sumber daya pemuda terhadap pentingnya pembangunan yang terus berkesinambungan secara merata. Promosi yang baik terhadap Provinsi Jambi akan turut membangun citra dan kesan yang baik terhadap Provinsi Jambi" ujarnya.
Sekda menekankan bahwa program ini akan berdampak positif terhadap pembangunan Provinsi Jambi, pembangunan yang tidak hanya dilakukan oleh pemerintah, namun juga oleh seluruh pemangku kepentingan.
"Dengan demikian, saya menyambut baik penyelenggaraan seleksi calon peserta PPAN Provinsi Jambi Tahun 2021 ini, serta berharap agar kegiatan bisa bisa berlangsung dengan lancar dan mencapai target" katanya.
Pada akhir sambutannya Sekda berpesan kepada seluruh peserta seleksi untuk mengikuti proses seleksi dengan sebaik-baiknya. Dan tampilkan kemampuan terbaikmu dengan tetap menjunjung fairness dan sportif.
"Kepada tim seleksi, laksanakan tugas dengan sebaik-baiknya sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku, ciptakan suasana yang bisa menstimulasi peserta untuk menunjukkan ke mereka" pungkasnya.
