JAMBI - Ketua DPRD Provinsi Jambi, Edi Purwanto meminta agar ratusan sumur bor yang ada untuk menanggulangi terjadinya kebakaran hutan dan lahan (karhutla) di tanah gambut untuk diaudit. Hal ini disampaikan oleh Edi Purwanto terkait dengan adanya sekitar 500 sumur bor yang tersebar dibeberapa daerah di Provinsi Jambi.
Edi Purwanto meminta agar proses audit harus dilakukan, sehingga ketika terjadi karhutla di titik lokasi sumur bor itu bisa dimanfaatkan untuk penangganan Karhutla. Sebanyak 500 unit sumur bor yang tersebar di provinsi Jambi, diantaranya di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat, Tanjung Jabung Timur dan Kabupaten Muaro Jambi.
"Kita minta agar sumur bor yang diadakan untuk penanggulangan Karhutla ini diaudit, tujuannya apa, ini bisa kita petakan berapa banyak sumur bor yang berfungsi dan tidak berfungsi sehingga dapat kita manfaatkan jika sewaktu-waktu terjadi Karhutla di sekitar titik sumur bor tersebut," ujarnya.
Selain berada di titik rawan Karhutla, sumur bor tersebut juga masuk ke dalam peta indikatif restorasi. Edi Purwanto juga menerangkan bahwa ada Tim Restorasi Gabut Daerah (TRGD) dan diharapkan melalui Tim TRGD ini juga bisa berkolaborasi dalam penangganan Karhutla.
"Karenakan memang yang berjibaku punya tanggungjawab itu TNI dan Polri, dan kalau mereka yang menjadi leading sektornya TRGD, saya yakin kualitas nya bagus," pungkasnya.
