MUARABULIAN - Bupati Batanghari, Muhammad Fadhil Arief, SE membuka secara resmi kegiatan Puncak Festival Literasi Batanghari tahun kedua yang dilaksanakan di Bulian Sport Center (BSC) tanggal 4 September 2024.
Kegiatan ini bekerjasama dengan Nyalanesia. Kegiatan Festival Literasi Batanghari ini diikuti oleh lebih dari 10.000 peserta dari tingkat SD, SMP dan SMA di Kabupaten Batanghari.
Bupati Batanghari, Muhammad Fadhil Arief mengatakan, bahwa dengan perubahan zaman dan bergesernya platform, minat baca masyarakat menjadi turun.
"Banyaknya masyarakat malas membaca karena bergesernya platform. Oleh sebab itu, kegiatan Festival Literasi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi stimulus bagi masyarakat, khususnya bagi siswa-siswi di Kabupaten Batanghari," harap Bupati.
Kegiatan Festival Literasi ini diisi dengan rangkaian perlombaan, penampilan seni dan salah satunya penulisan puisi yang nantinya juga dibukukan oleh Nyalanesia. Selain siswa-siswi, Bupati juga mendorong para guru untuk dapat mengembangkan diri dan meningkatkan minat baca.
Bupati mengatakan, bahwa pemerintah Kabupaten Batanghari di tahun 2025 akan menargetkan peningkatan literasi dan numerik di Kabupaten Batanghari.
"Kami targetkan angka 8 untuk literasi dan numerik, hal tersebut bertujuan untuk peningkatan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yang baik di Kabupaten Batanghari," sebutnya.
