BANGKO — Pemerintah Kabupaten Merangin terus memperkuat komitmen dalam meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan masyarakat.
Hal itu ditandai dengan pembukaan kegiatan Advokasi, Penguatan Komitmen, Penandatanganan Komitmen Bersama, dan Penyusunan Rencana Tindak Lanjut Sanitasi Total Berbasis Masyarakat (STBM) 5 Pilar yang digelar di Aula Hotel Family Inn Bangko, Selasa (8/9).
Acara tersebut dibuka secara resmi oleh Bupati Merangin, M. Syukur, didampingi Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Merangin Zulhifni, Ketua TP PKK Kabupaten Merangin Lavita Syukur, serta dihadiri jajaran Kepala Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD), para camat, kepala puskesmas, kepala desa dan lurah.
Dalam arahannya, Bupati M. Syukur menegaskan bahwa penerapan 5 Pilar STBM—mulai dari stop buang air besar sembarangan, cuci tangan pakai sabun, pengelolaan air minum dan makanan rumah tangga, pengamanan sampah, hingga pengamanan limbah cair—sebenarnya merupakan bagian dari pola perilaku hidup sehari-hari yang sederhana namun krusial.
"Isu kesehatan dan sanitasi lingkungan ini tidak bisa hanya dibebankan kepada Dinas Kesehatan semata. Pola hidup bersih dan sehat adalah tanggung jawab kita bersama. Menjaga lingkungan, pola hidup, hingga sanitasi yang baik harus dimulai dari kesadaran diri sendiri," ujar Bupati.
Ia juga menyoroti masih adanya praktik buang air besar ke aliran drainase di area perkotaan yang berpotensi memicu timbulnya kuman dan penyebaran penyakit bagi masyarakat sekitar.
Oleh karena itu, M. Syukur mengingatkan peran strategis para camat sebagai pemangku wilayah dan koordinator utama di tingkat kecamatan. Camat diminta tidak hanya fokus pada urusan administratif, tetapi juga aktif memantau kondisi sosial, lingkungan, dan kesehatan warga di wilayahnya.
"Camat adalah pimpinan wilayah. Apapun yang terjadi di kecamatan, baik isu lingkungan, sosial, hingga kesehatan masyarakat, itu menjadi tanggung jawab camat. Sering-seringlah turun dan duduk bersama tokoh masyarakat untuk menyerap aspirasi serta mencari solusi atas persoalan warga," tegasnya.
Bupati juga memberikan apresiasi kepada jajaran Dinas Kesehatan dan seluruh pihak yang menginisiasi kegiatan ini.
Ia berharap melalui penandatanganan komitmen bersama dan penyusunan rencana tindak lanjut tersebut, seluruh jajaran pemerintah daerah hingga ke tingkat desa dapat bersinergi mewujudkan Kabupaten Merangin yang lebih sehat dan bersih.
