KUALA BETARA – Ketegasan pemimpin daerah kembali teruji di lapangan. Dalam kunjungan kerja (Kunker) ke Kecamatan Kuala Betara, Rabu (9/9/2026), Bupati Tanjung Jabung Barat, Drs. H. Anwar Sadat, M.Ag., tidak hanya meninjau infrastruktur, tetapi juga memberikan ultimatum keras kepada korporasi perkebunan. Menyoroti kondisi tanggul yang jebol di wilayah Tanjung Harapan dan Sungai Dualap, Bupati memerintahkan PT Pelda untuk segera melakukan perbaikan guna mencegah dampak negatif pada lahan masyarakat sekitar.
“Jangan sampai pembangunan kebun perusahaan berdampak negatif pada kebun masyarakat. Untuk itu, saya perintahkan PT Pelda agar segera memperbaiki tanggul yang jebol,” tegas Anwar Sadat di hadapan sejumlah kepala desa dan dinas terkait. Pernyataan ini menjadi sinyal jelas bahwa Pemkab Tanjab Barat akan bertindak sebagai pelindung utama hak-hak warga ketika berhadapan dengan ekspansi industri.

Di sisi lain, Bupati juga menyempatkan diri mengunjungi Pondok Pesantren Riyadhul Jannah. Di sana, ia menekankan pentingnya keseimbangan antara ilmu agama dan keterampilan hidup. Selain mendukung pembukaan program Tahfiz Al-Qur’an, Anwar Sadat mendorong pesantren untuk membekali santri dengan keahlian praktis seperti pertanian melon dan budidaya ikan tambak.
“Sekolah tetap jalan, tapi juga harus punya keterampilan di lapangan. Biar anak-anak kita mandiri secara ekonomi,” ujarnya. Visi ini bertujuan mencetak generasi santri yang tidak hanya saleh secara spiritual, tetapi juga tangguh menghadapi tantangan ekonomi masa depan.
Infrastruktur Pendidikan & Konektivitas Jadi Prioritas
Kunjungan berlanjut ke SDN 047 Sungai Dualap, di mana Bupati menyoroti kondisi bangunan sekolah yang sudah tua serta fasilitas sanitasi (MCK) yang perlu segera diperbaiki. “Infrastruktur sekolah menjadi perhatian Pemerintah Daerah... Ini harus segera kita benahi agar anak-anak nyaman belajar,” katanya.
Selain itu, Bupati juga meninjau lokasi usulan pembangunan jembatan baru di Desa Sungai Dualap dan mengecek kondisi Jembatan Gantung Kuala Betara–Pangkal Duri. Akses penghubung antar-kabupaten ini dinilai vital bagi mobilitas warga perbatasan, sehingga pemeliharaannya menjadi prioritas pemerintah.
Apresiasi atas Sinergi Positif
Meski bersikap tegas terhadap pelanggaran, Bupati juga memberikan apresiasi kepada pihak perusahaan yang berkontribusi positif. Saat mengunjungi Masjid Bayar Utang, ia mengucapkan terima kasih atas partisipasi perusahaan dalam membangun fasilitas tempat wudhu, yang menunjukkan bahwa kemitraan antara swasta dan masyarakat bisa berjalan harmonis jika dikelola dengan tanggung jawab.
Turut mendampingi Bupati dalam kunker ini adalah Kepala Dinas Pendidikan H. Dahlan, Kepala Dinas Perkebunan Ridwan, Sekretaris Diskominfo, serta para Kepala Desa setempat. Dengan kombinasi antara pengawasan ketat terhadap korporasi dan perhatian mendalam pada pendidikan serta infrastruktur dasar, Bupati Anwar Sadat membuktikan bahwa pembangunan di Tanjab Barat harus inklusif, adil, dan berpihak pada rakyat kecil.
