MUARABULIAN - Pemerintah telah menyiapkan berbagai jenis kontrasepsi bagi masyarakat yang bergabung program keluarga berencana. Termasuk bagi kaum pria. Namun, peminat kontrasepsi pria minim.
Buktinya, pada tahun 2019 lalu, tidak ada yang memasang jenis kontrasepsi dengan metode operasi pria (MOP). Padahal, Dinas Pengendalian Penduduk, Keluarga Berencana, Pemberdayaan Perempuan, dan Perlindungan Anak (DPPKBPPPA) Batanghari sudah menyiapkan jatah (target sasaran) 4 orang menjadi peserta KB Baru jenis MOP di tahun 2019. Namun, hingga akhir tahun 2019, kuota MOP tersebut belum terpenuhi atau tidak terealisasi.
Kepala Dinas DPPKBP3A Batanghari, Tesar melalui Nirmawati S.Pd.I selaku Kabid Pengendalian Penduduk Data dan Informasi mengakui hal itu.
Kepada media ini perempuan yang akrab disapa Nenek ini mengatakan, perkiraan permintaan masyarakat (PPM) program KB Nasional kecamatan sekabupaten Batanghari sampai Desember 2019, khusunya peserta KB baru jenis Kontrasepsi MOP yang ditargetkan sebanyak 4 orang, belum terealisasi.
”Perkiraan permintaan masyarakat peserta KB baru tahun ini yakni 8.375 orang. Sementara untuk kontrasepsi MOP jatahnya 4 akseptor. Hingga akhir Desember tahun 2019, belum ada yang terserap,” katanya pada Selasa (21/1/2020).
Nirmawati bilang, program KB juga berlaku bagi suami. Ada dua alat kontrasepsi yang bisa digunakan suami. Yakni, MOP dan kondom. Kondom biasanya digunakan ketika pasangan suami istri (maaf) hendak berhubungan intim.
Setiap tahun pihaknya memiliki target akseptor yang harus dicapai. Target tersebut berdasarkan ketentuan pemerintah provinsi Jambi. Namun, pada tahun 2019 lalu, target pemasangan MOP tidak tercapai.
Menurut Nirmawati, beberapa tahun sebelumnya peminat kontrasepsi MOP di Batanghari masih ada, walapun jumlahnya sedikit. Ada beberapa faktor yang dinilai menjadi penyebab tidak terserapnya MOP. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, terdapat kesalahpahaman masyarakat terhadap penggunaan MOP. Masyarakat beranggapan bahwa penggunaan MOP bisa mengurangi kejantanan pria.
Pihaknya tidak memaksa masyarakat untuk menggunakan kontrsepsi MOP. Pasalnya, kontrasepsi tersebut cocok bagi pasangan yang sudah merasa cukup memiliki anak. Meski begitu, sosialisasi kepada masyarakat terus dilakukan.
