YANGON - Keberhasilan Egy Maulana Vikri dalam membawa Indonesia meraih kemenangan perdana di Piala AFF U-18 2017 membuktikan kualitasnya. Dia membuktikan bahwa dirinya layak mendapat Jouer Revelation Trophee di Toulon Tournament pada medio Mei-Juni lalu. Penghargaan itu diberikan kepada pemain yang memberikan pengaruh untuk tim selama ajang tersebut.
Tadi malam, dia sukses mencetak dua gol kemenangan kala timnas Indonesia melawan tuan rumah Myanmar di Stadion Thuwunna, Yangon, Myanmar. Laga tersebut berakhir 2-1 untuk skuad berjuluk Garuda Nusantara itu. Pujian pun langsung mengalir kepadanya. Namun, dia menolak menjadi aktor utama laga tersebut.
“Setiap pemain di tim ini punya peran masing-masing. Gol itu tercipta karena saya punya kesempatan. Pemain lain kalau punya kesempatan juga akan mencoba untuk mencetak gol. Ini semua berkat kerja sama tim,” kata Egy kepada Jawa Pos (Induk Jambi Ekspres) kemarin.
Secara khusus, gelandang serang 17 tahun itu ingin memberikan gol itu untuk keluarganya. Dia juga ingin mempersembahkan kemenangan ini untuk Catur Yuliantono, suporter Indonesia yang meninggal kala timnas Indonesia melawan Fiji di Stadion Patriot Bekasi, Sabtu (2/9) lalu.
“Senang kami bisa memenangkan pertandingna ini. Kami sudah pelajari semua permainan Myanmar, jadi kami punya formula untuk mengatasi mereka. Fokus untuk pertandingan berikutnya tetap mematok kemenangan. Mohon doa dan dukungannya,” imbuh pemain asal Medan tersebut.
Egy mengaku, tidak ada persiapan khusus untuk laga perdana ini. Baginya, dia harus mendengar instruksi pelatih dengan baik saat latihan maupun pertandingan. Dia juga terus menjaga komunikasi dengan pemain lainnya agar koordinasi berjalan dengan lancar.
Kemenangan laga ini terletak pada saat turun minum. Pelatih timnas U-19 Indra Sjafri memberikan motivasi kuat agar pemainnya memiliki semangat tinggi untuk berjuang di babak kedua. “Saya sampaikan pada mereka, kalau ingin berada di ajang ini sampai selesai, kalian harus berjuang semaksimal mungkin. Persiapan sudah sangat matang jadi harus menang,” ungkapnya.
Dia juga mengevaluasi permainan kurang efektif di babak pertama. Indra mengaku bahwa keputusannya menurunkan Saddil Ramdani adalah perjudian besar. Sebab, Saddil baru saja pulang Sea Games bersama timnas U-22 di bawah asuhan pelatih Luis Milla. “Dia sudah bermain cukup bagus. Saya punya pola permainan dan dia berhasil menerapkannya. Pemain lain juga mampu mendukung lini depan untuk mencuri gol,” tandasnya.
