MERANGIN - Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Kabupaten Merangin menargetkan partisipasi pemilih pada Pemilu 2019, diatas 80 persen. Hal ini dikatakan Komisioner KPU Merangin, Adam Kurniawan, menjawab pertanyaan awak media diruangannya. Senin (11/2/2019).
Adam menyebutkan, angka diatas 80 persen tersebut adalah target yang normal, pasalnya diprediksi partisipasi pemilih pada Pemilu kali ini biasanya meningkat dari pada Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) beberapa waktu lalu.
“Kalau menurut saya, angka ini merupakan target yang normal, prediksi kita partisipasi pemilih pada Pemilu jauh meningkat dibandingkan Pilkada beberapa waktu lalu,” ujar Adam.
Dikatakannya, secara nasional, partisipasi pemilih ditargetkan sebesar 77,5 persen. “Target nasional sebesar 77,5 persen, masak target kita dibawah itu,”katanya.
Bahkan saat ini tambah Adam Kurniawan, KPU beserta jajaran terus mensosialisasikan Pemilu ketengah masyarakat, agar masyarakat bisa menggunakan hak pililhnya saat tanggal 17 April nanti.
“Apalagi sekarang ini kan kami sudah membentuk relawan demokrasi, ini menjadi perpanjangan tangan kami dalam melakukan sosialisasi Pemilu di tengah masyarakat. Untuk itu, saya berharap selain Penyelenggara, masyarakat juga ambil peran dalam kegiatan sosialisasi ini, agar partisipasi pemilih kita bisa meningkat,” tandasnya.
