BATANGHARI – Ratusan narapidana (Napi) di kabupaten Batanghari diajukan pengurangan hukuman atau yang biasa dikenal Remisi.
Pemberian remisi kepada ratusan napi ini dalam rangka hari ulang tahun kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia yang ke 74 tahun, pada 17 Agustus 2019 nanti.
Ada dua lembaga pemasyarakatan di Batanghari yang mengajukan remisi. Seperti Lapas Kelas II B Muarabulian dan Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas Anak (LPKA). Untuk Lapas IIB Muarabuian dengan usulan sebanyak 189 orang, dengan rincian remisi umum (RU.1) terkait PP 99 sebanyak 49 orang, remisi umum (RU.II) terkait PP 99 sebanyak 2 orang. Kemudian remisi umum (RU.I) umum sebanyak 132 orang.
“ Sedangkan untuk remisi khusus (RU.II) umum kita usulkan sebanyak 6 orang,” kata Kepala Lapas IIB Muarabulian, Dwi Santosa.
Dwi Santosa mengatakan, harapannya kepada napi yang telah selesai menjalani hukuman agar nanti dimasyarakat bisa menyesuaikan diri dan bisa menjadi manusia pembangunan aktif dan produktif. Kemudian tidak menganggu masyarakat, dan mengulangi lagi tindak pidana.
Tidak hanya kepada mantan narapidana, Dwi juga berpesan kepada masyarakat hendaknya bisa menerima narapidana yang telah selesai menjalani hukuman, agar mereka tidak merasa dikucilkan,
“ Karena percuma saja proses pembinaan selama ini. Kalau masyarakat tidak mendukung itu dan dianggap sebagai penyakit masyarakat, mereka (Narapidana-red) akan mengulangi perbuatan lagi untuk mencari penghidupannya,” ujar Dwi.
Dwi menambahkan, bahwa narapidana di dalam lembaga pemasyarakatan ini dibina, baik pembinaan kepribadian maupun pembinaan kemandirian. Pembinaan kepribadian ini merupakan pembinaan mental seperti mengajarkan sholat dan baca tulis alquran. Sedangkan untuk pembinaan kemandirian pihaknya mengajarkan cara bercocok tanam, dan mengelola peternakan.
“ Program ini agar mereka diluar mempunyai ilmu tentang perikanan, pertanian, listrik, dan juga bisa menambah penghasilan," harapnya.
Sementara itu Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas Anak (LPKA) dengan total jumlah anak binaan sebanyak 43 orang, yang diusulkan mendapat remisi sebanyak 31 orang. Sementara 12 anak yang tidak mendapat remisi tidak memenuhi persyaratan.
“ 12 anak binaan yang tidak mendapat usulan remisi ini karena tidak memenuhi persyaratan karena melakukan pelanggaran tata tertib, dan juga ada yang belum menjalani tiga bulan pidananya,”ungkap Kalapas LPKA, Didik Budi Waluyo.(*)
